Large Group Rental Information:
Vicarage Farm Holiday Cottages are in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The cottages and The Vicarage itself, built in 1637, are set in 6 acres of rolling countryside, woodland and delightfully landscaped gardens. They enjoy uninterrupted views from the grounds with miles of footpaths, dry stone walls and uncongested lanes.

The holiday cottages are set in the ancient farming hamlet of Wheston with its medieval cross. The hamlet lies within 6 miles of Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth.

The main house, The Vicarage, is a fine grade 2 listed building reputedly once slept in by Bonnie Prince Charlie. With the addition of 3 cottages in the beautifully converted barns, the properties together can sleep up to 25 people.

On-site we have a tennis court, whilst inside there are saunas and of course log fires. There is also a play-ground and games room for children. Well behaved dogs are always welcomed in this pet friendly environment. Stabling and paddock are also available for horses and ponies.

Vicarage Farm is open all year round, with each season offering its own charm and delight.

Catering: Whilst the accommodation is self-catering, deliveries of locally produced food can be arranged in advance. The area is well served by dining pubs etc
Kitchen: Each property has a full-sized fridge freezer (except Millers View). The Vicarage and Princes Seat have a full-sized dish-washer. Aga in Vicarage.
Dining Room:  There are separate dining facilities in each of the 4 properties. The Vicarage has a 12 seat dining table which can be arranged to seat 19 together.
Sitting Room: There is a separate comfortable sitting room in each of the 4 properties. The Vicarage has a magnificent drawing room able to entertain 25 guests.
TV and Music Facilities: Each property is equipped with its own television, DVD player and CD player. Piano in Princes Seat.
Heating/Open Fires:  All properties have full gas central heating. All but one of the properties have open fires. The Vicarage also has an Aga.
Bedrooms: Vicarage: 2 fmly (dbl + sgle), 2 dbl/twin Princes: 1 fmly (dbl + sgle,), 1 dble, 1 twin Vergers: 1 dbl, 1 twin Millers: 1 dbl, 1 twin (bunks)
Linen: All linen and towels provided. Beds are made up prior to arrival.
Bathrooms: Vicarage: 2 bathrooms, one + shower, sauna, WC. Princes: bathroom, shower room, sauna. Vergers: bathroom + shower, sauna. Millers: shower room.
Disabled Facilities:  Downstairs WC in The Vicarage and Princes. Vehicle can drive right to door of holiday cottages if required, with level access.
Children's Facilities:  Children's playground, well equipped games room including table tennis and pool table. Floodlit tennis court. Extensive gardens.
Outdoor Facilities:  Extensive and secluded gardens with seating. Beautiful views. Floodlit tennis court. Children's playground. Stables. Paddock. Fields. Barbeque areas.
Swimming Pool:  None. Sauna in 3 of the 4 properties. Swimming pool in Bakewell and outdoor lido in Hathersage.
Parking:  Off road parking provided for 2 vehicles per property. Additional vehicles can be accommodated.
Telecom Facilities:  Off-site Internet access can be arranged.
Smoking:  All properties are non-smoking at the request of our clients.
Pets:  Well behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional charge (to cover cleaning to ensure that our next guest will never know your pet has stayed).
Games Room:  Large and well equipped games room, with table tennis, pool table and darts. Floodlit tennis court.

Wheston is a small secluded hamlet close to Tideswell and not far from popular Buxton in the heart of the Peak District.
 
Nearest Town:  Nearest city - equidistant between Manchester/Sheffield. Nearest town - Bakewell/Buxton
Nearest Shop:  2 miles in Tideswell with Bank, Chemist, Bakers, Butchers, Co-Op, General Stores, 2 Fish&chip shops, Newsagent, GP etc.
Nearest Pub/Eatery:  5 pubs and 2 cafes in Tideswell(2 miles) Michelin starred restaurant (Fischers) at Baslow (6 miles)
Nearest Airport:  Manchester or Doncaster airports are about an hour away by car.
Nearest Train Station:  Hope Station is close, or alternatively Chesterfield, Sheffield and New Mills are on mainlines.
Nearest Bus:  Buses to Tideswell are available from Bakewell, Buxton, Manchester and Sheffield amongst others.
