Large Group Rental Information:
The essence of the Quinta is an intimate holiday retreat for peace and relaxation, ideal for groups, be they large or small. It boasts a blend of traditional hospitality, "International home-cooking" cuisine and a friendly atmosphere with excellent service.

Set in a beautiful lakeside location in southern rural Portugal, the Quinta is surrounded by unspoilt countryside with a wide variety of wildlife and rare birds in its gardens and surrounding countryside.

The Quinta has 8 double en-suite rooms, a Family Suite and a Honeymoon Suite. It has 2 large drawing rooms with log fires, sauna, a roofed terrace, a vine covered terrace and various lawns within the 2-acre garden that drops down towards the water.

The lake, right on your doorstep and one of the largest in Europe (with an average summer temperature of 82ºF), is a refreshing (and unpolluted), change from the sea. But for those who like beaches, the Algarve as well as the spectacularly unspoilt West Coast, is only an hour away.

Though close to the Algarve this area is relatively unknown, with a busy day being the sight of over five boats. In the summer the Quinta's mature fruit and flower gardens lead guests down to the shore where a variety of water sports are on offer, overlooked by the lawns close to the water's edge. The Quinta doesn't need a swimming pool - it has one that's 36 kms long!

It's an ideal venue for a family, or a group of friends with or without children. It's safe and secluded in the middle of the country and away from the hustle and bustle of town life. The Accommodation is cool and uncluttered, calming and without pretensions; the bathrooms are spacious.

Catering: The Quinta has a professional chef at all times. The style is "International Home Cooking". There's lashings of it - you won't go hungry!
Kitchen: Lunch is a buffet style eat-all-you-can selection. Dinner is a slightly more formal 3 course meal. We have a good and varied selection of wines.
Dining Room:  Large dining rooms with log burners and bars.
Sitting Room: There are two drawing rooms available, both with log burners.
TV and Music Facilities: There's a TV in one of the drawing rooms and a music centre for iPods and MP3s in the other.
Heating/Open Fires:  Log burners in both drawing rooms and also in the Honeymoon Suite and the sauna.
Bedrooms: Uncluttered and calming with beautiful pictures on the walls and terraces outside, all with a view to die for.
Linen: Supplied.
Bathrooms: Most bedrooms have spacious bathrooms - and the one that doesn't has the largest bath to make up for it!
Disabled Facilities:  One of the Family Suites has disabled facilities.
Children's Facilities:  Children love it here - they're safe and while their parents can let them go, they in their turn can let their imaginations run riot.
Outdoor Facilities:  Water sports on offer and pedalo's, canoes and sailing dinghy and bicycles included in the price of your stay. Bird watching guide always in residence
Swimming Pool:  The largest, cleanest and most beautiful in Europe. 36 kms long and right on your doorstep. No chemicals and clean enough to drink!
Parking:  Available on site and guarded by our dogs.
Telecom Facilities:  Wireless Internet access available.
Smoking:  By law it is not permissible inside.
Pets:  Accepted as long as they are well behaved. The Quinta has a selection of friendly dogs.
Games Room:  Ping Pong table available.

The Quinta's in a location where some GPSs don't work, so please make sure you check our website beforehand.
 
Nearest Town:  We are equidistant from Odemira, São Teotonio, Ourique and Monchique, approx 45 kms from any of them.
Nearest Shop:  The Quinta has a small souvenir shop on the premises; after that the nearest shop is 5 kms away.
