Large Group Rental Information:
Parson House is approx 1300 ft above sea level in its own grounds, a converted sheep farm, which has been open for 36 years run by the same family as a comfortable, good quality residential base.

Built in the late 18th century and once owned by the Duke of Rutland, Parson House OPC has been converted into a beautiful stone built centre with comfort and easy access in mind. An excellent place for young children to adults.

The centre sleeps max 30 and the minimum group size is 10, however we do have B & B facilities available to all group sizes.

If you want to hire the whole centre to do your own thing, we can accommodate you or if you wish to have full catering/accommodation and an outdoor programme, we can give you a high standard of accommodation and instruction, with good home cooking.

We have a large dining room & kitchen, TV room, games room, drying room x 2, tuck shop, sports hall with indoor climbing wall, large obstacle course and play area. We have two rooms for families which accommodate 4 to 5 people again with private shower/toilet facilities.

Each group has sole use of the centre.

Parson House is in a great location for D of E groups, with camping facilities.

Popular with Stag & Hen parties, activity's during the day and party at night in the local villages or let us take you to the city - a weekend to remember.

Families & schools love us due to our location and atmosphere, a holiday to remember.

Stanage Edge, Burbage north & south is on our doorstep and Lawrencefield to mention a few of the great climbing areas.

For hill walking you can step out of the door and you won't need your car. Or go further a field to Mam Tor, Kinder Scout and Bleaklow. Castleton boasts the beautiful caves with Blue John and visit Eyam, the plague village.

Chatsworth House & Haddon Hall are within 20 minute drive.

The centre is in an amazing geographical area for schools & field trips.

Catering: Self catering or full catering; we can provide them all. Children's and adult menus, with BBQ facilities. All dietary requirements can be catered for
Kitchen: The kitchen caters comfortably for 30 people; large oven & hob, fryers, large fridge and deep freeze. All crockery is provided
Dining Room:  Seats 30 people comfortably
Sitting Room: A comfortable lounge area upstairs, with TV or there is a reading area downstairs
TV and Music Facilities: Yes also available
Heating/Open Fires:  Central heating with extra oil filled radiators in each room for winter
Bedrooms: Rooms are large and vary form 2 person to 8 persons, with open wardrobes, and private shower/bathrooms
Linen: All linen is provided
Bathrooms: Private shower/toilet areas for each bedroom
Disabled Facilities:  The ground floor is wheelchair accessible to the dining room, games room and bedrooms, with a seat in the shower, rails and easy access outside
Children's Facilities:  The centre is designed with children in mind, games room, TV lounge, lots of open space to play in. Most rooms have bunkbeds, travel cot on request
Outdoor Facilities:  Surrounded by fields, lots of play area, 24hr security, tranquil, BBQ area, camping available, access onto the moors
Swimming Pool:  No but Hathersage has a heated open air pool 3 miles away
Parking:  24 hr secure(with security cameras) parking long way off the main road, lots of space
Telecom Facilities:  Phones available
Smoking:  Smoking is allowed outside the buildings, non smoking inside
Pets:  Well behaved pets are allowed, great dog walking facilities, pets can stay in your room with you
Games Room:  Large games room with table tennis, TV and table football.

Nearest Town:  Sheffield, approx 20 mins(8 miles); Hathersage is 10 mins (3 miles); Castleton, 20 mins (8 miles approx)
Nearest Shop:  3 miles Hathersage, Grindleford or Dore
Nearest Pub/Eatery:  Fox House Inn 10 minute walk across the field, or 2 minute drive. Hathersage has pubs, restaurants and cafes. We also provide full/half board
Nearest Airport:  Sheffield City, Robin Hood Doncaster and Manchester
Nearest Train Station:  Grindleford, Dore & Hathersage. Sheffield, 10 miles away
Nearest Bus:  300 yards at the bottom of our drive
