Kirkbeck House is a luxurious and historic 19th century traditional Lakeland family home which adjoins one other and sits within a delightful enclosed garden. The house is ideal for all kinds of self-catering groups, being large and superbly appointed.

Kirkbeck is ideally located in the central Lake District in the beautiful village of Coniston. There are 8 good sized bedrooms providing luxury accommodation for up to 20 people. The rooms consist of 4 double rooms (1 with en-suite), 2 twin rooms, 1 quad room and a triple en-suite room.

The house has two spacious living rooms, a well-equipped modern kitchen and dinning area with separate utility and plenty of superb garden space. It is quietly situated in the village of Coniston, with easy access to John Ruskin's home, Brantwood. Coniston Water is just a short level walk away.

The house is crammed with loads of original features and has a spacious feel. Recently upgraded, additions have sympathetically combined the old and modern to offer you a family home with charm and warmth.

Managed and run as a family business our aim is to make your stay here comfortable and memorable. We are confident you will want to return again and again.

Situated in the attractive village of Coniston at the foot of the "Old Man of Coniston", it is the perfect central Lake District location for branching out and exploring.

This popular, yet quiet, Lakeland village has two small supermarkets (one, with a very good butchers), a post office, four pubs (The Black Bull a must for all real ale drinkers) and several cafes all serving food.

Kirkbeck is ideal for children, with it's enclosed gardens and play park opposite. The school, which is next to the house, has an outdoor swimming pool open during the summer holidays and tennis courts. The lake with its boating centre only 10 minutes away

Bathrooms: Two x bathrooms with showers, 1 x separate toilet, 1 x downstairs toilet shower room 2x en-suite bathrooms.

Children's Facilities:  Enclosed gardens, high chair x 2, stair gate x 2, cots x 2.
Outdoor Facilities:  BBQ, seating, patio and lovely gardens.
Swimming Pool:  There is an outdoor pool in the school (2 minutes walk) open to the public in the summer months. It can also be privately hired for large groups.
Parking:  Parking for 8 cars.
Telecom Facilities:  Bring mobiles. Wireless broadband.
Smoking:  No smoking in the house, but we do have a lovely smoking veranda.
Pets:  Maximum of 2 well behaved pets. There is a small extra charge of £16 per pet made for cleaning.
Games Room:  The 2nd sitting room has a good selection of of box and card games for adults and children.
