The Barn and Stables combined offer 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Most rooms have zip link beds offering multiple bed configurations to suit families, friends holidaying together, walking groups. Some of the rooms are en suite, and some share bathrooms.

There is plenty of space for socialising together in both the open plan kitchen/dining room in The Barn and the sitting rooms, some of which are great spaces for use by for the younger generation.

The Grade II listed 15th Century farmhouse with original low ceilings, exposed oak beams, and open log fires has been providing a warm welcome to guests for over 50 years. The farmhouse is only available on a self catering basis between November and Easter, and during high season offers Bed and Breakfast rooms, which can be booked in conjunction with other cottages.

Located a short walk from Coniston village on the north east shore of Coniston Water and half way between the two picturesque Lake District villages of Coniston and Hawkshead.

This is an ideal place in a fantastic setting from which to enjoy the Lake District whether it is the traditional activities of walking, mountain biking, climbing and water sports right on your doorstep, or merely relaxing whilst taking in these stunning surroundings.

WiFi

Most mobiles get a signal somewhere on the property, free WiFi so if you have a smartphone you can make Wifi calls.

Disabled Facilities

Some rooms are usable for guests with limited mobility.

Dog Friendly

Sorry no pets allowed inside, however we welcome pets on site and have a purpose built fully insulated modern kennel facility for guests to use.

Kitchen

Each cottage has it's own kitchen/dining area & lounge. Additionally the farmhouse operates 80% as a bed and breakfast with a cafe/restaurant/catering

Dining Room

The Barn can comfortably seat 20+ together. Farmhouse has a large well appointed dining room that seats 25 in comfort complete with an open fire.

Sitting Room

Each with panoramic views over the lake some with a log fire for those long winter nights.

TV and Music Facilities

Digital TVs complete with Freeview and DVD players. Smart phones/iPod enabled speakers

Games Room

We have bikes, paddle boards, canoes and boats available for hire as well as board games and outdoor games for the garden.

Heating and Open Fires

Full central heating and log fires.

Bedrooms

9 bedrooms in the Barn and Stables, some en suite (multiple combinations of doubles, twins and triples). Some have spectacular views over the lake.

Linen

All linen and towels are provided.

Bathrooms

A mix of showers and baths, some en suite.

Children's Facilities

Children of all ages welcome. We have built a "Wigloo" (igloo made out of willow) in the garden which is a big hit with the kids and a treasure hunt

Outdoor

Gardens with panoramic views over Coniston Lake, private lake frontage ideal for boating/fishing, bike hire/storage, acres of outdoor space.

Swimming Pool

No but there is always the lake for those feeling brave. We can arrange open water swimming coaching and paddle boarding classes from the farm shore.

Groups of 16 from £800 to £4,750. Groups of 22 (Barn & Stables) from £1,100 to £6,200 per week. Short breaks also available.
