Buxton Lodge has an impressive and superbly equipped designer kitchen, with French grey finish, granite work surfaces and solid wood floors through to the dining room. It is the perfect hub for whole group wining and dining, and cleverly designed to partially separate the main food preparation area from the dish-washing facilities, meaning used equipment can be stored out of sight and mind whilst eating. Whether rustling up a lunchtime BBQ with purchases from the local butcher's shop in the Market Place or creating a feast for the 16 seat dining table with Chatsworth Farmshop ingredients, you'll find catering here a pleasure.
Conveniently located on the main road that leads to the wonderful Peak District, you may experience some traffic noise due to location.

Location

In the town of Buxton, half mile (15 min. walk) from the railway station. By car: 20-25 mins to Bakewell & Chatsworth; 50 mins to Sheffield; Leeds 1h 40m. Good road and rail links across the country.

  • 1 minute from your doorstep, stop is Five Ways Junction with buses to town centre, Chatsworth (No 58), Bakewell (58 or 177), Tideswell and Taddington (193) or the market town of Ashbourne (441 & 442).
  • Buxton railway station is a 15 minute walk from the property, with regular trains to Stockport and Manchester. A National Express coach service operates to Buxton from London.
  • Buxton town centre (10 minute walk) is a vibrant and historic town with culture and entertainment. Restaurants, cafes, bars, theatre, swimming pool, shopping, playground, museum, landscaped gardens.
  • Several small independent shops along the main street, and Sainsbury’s is a five minute walk from Buxton Lodge (0.2 miles).
  • The Cheshire Cheese pub, The Old Sun Inn (17th century pub with stone flagged floor) and the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant are a 2 to 3 minute walk (approximately 0.1 mile) from the front door.
  • Manchester Airport is less than 25 miles away. Approximate journey time by car is 50 minutes. Travel by train in well under two hours to Buxton station. There are regular direct buses.
