Cortijo La Presa is a huge 18th century farmhouse converted into 6 self-contained holiday apartments near Iznajar in Spain. The accommodation makes the property suitable for a wide range of groups including weddings, yoga retreats, hikers, (Tinosa mountain at 1570 metres is close by) mountain biking, family gatherings and corporate events. We can accommodate smaller groups or individual houses, even if no availability is shown, please contact us to check.

The property is located in a peaceful area of outstanding natural beauty. It has more than 500 olive trees, 100 membrillo and other fruit trees. Partly bordered by a river, the cortijo is the starting point for wonderful walking and mountain bike trails. The property is perfect for those looking for adventure, activities or simply a relaxing holiday in a stunning mountain setting. It is conveniently located near the towns of Iznajar - with its beautiful lake and beach - Priego de Cordoba and Rute. It is also ideally situated for touring Andalucia. The historic cities of Granada, Cordoba, Malaga and Jaen can all be visited as day trips, as can many of the famous "white towns". Nature lovers can enjoy the wildlife and majestic mountains.

Set around a beautiful central patio, the accommodation is in 5 two-bedroom cottages/apartments, plus a one-bedroom superior apartment perfect for couples.

Groups renting the whole cortijo get exclusive use of the property, including the swimming pool, BBQs and terraces. Please note - hotel staff live on site.

A special place to host your wedding or celebration. We offer a friendly approach to helping you plan your wedding day and we are happy to assist you as much or as little as you would like.

We have a dining room that can comfortably accommodate 40 for a sit down meal, but as the weather is usually beautiful here most people opt for eating outside. This can be a formal dinner, barbecue or more relaxed buffet - just tell us what you would prefer.

We personalize every different group's eating requirements. We can provide traditional English food, traditional Andalucian dishes, Vegan, Vegetarian, Halal etc or you can bring in your own outside caterers.

Each apartment has its own dining area, and there is an additional large dining room that seats up to 40 people.

Each apartment has its own TV in the lounge area.

We have a small outdoor play area for children with a swing and climbing frame.

Heating and Open Fires

All apartments have heating, air-conditioning and a real log fire in the lounge for winter nights. There is also a big fire in the main dining room.

11 in total. 5 apartments have 2 bedrooms; superior apartment has 1, perfect for a couple. Mix of twins and doubles. Extra beds for max capacity 26.

All linen and bathroom towels are supplied.

Bathrooms

6 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The ground floor 2-bed apartment has an accessible shower room. There are 3 family bathrooms and a cloakroom.

Children's Facilities

There is a small children's play area. Cots and high chairs can be provided.

Outdoor

The extensive grounds include a large pool, with sun loungers, a BBQ area, playground and patio.

Swimming Pool

Cortijo La Presa has a large outdoor swimming pool, with sunloungers, outside shower and toilet facilities.

Parking

There is ample free parking.

Smoking

Smoking is allowed in all outdoor areas, including the patio and BBQ area.

Booking Information

To confirm a reservation minimum 50% deposit required.
If a reservation is cancelled less than 180 days before check-in date, you will lose your deposit. Flexible changeover days. Inspection visit for group leader only 85 euros.

Location

Cortijo La Presa is set off a mountain road between Rute, Priego de Cordoba and Iznajar.

Rute, about 15kms away and Priego de Cordoba 20kms.
Puente Genil, about 67kms away.
Las Lagunillas, 2.6kms away, has bar, restaurant, ATM and bakery. It is walking distance from Cortijo La Presa, and is a great stop on hikes and mountain bike rides.
The nearest supermarket, Mercadona, is in Rute, 20 minutes drive away. Mercadona will deliver to the Cortijo, we can help you place the order.
El Patio restaurant in Las Lagunillas, 2.6kms away, specialises in grilled meats and is open daily from 1pm (closed on Mondays). There is also a bar in the village, near the square.
Granada is the closest airport, being an easy drive of less than 1 hour 15 minutes. Malaga airport is 80 minutes away. Car hire from the airports is usually straightforward and inexpensive.
