Currer Laithe Farm, Keighley, West Yorkshire

Sleeps 4 - 25 10 Bedrooms 24 Dining

Large reasonably priced group holiday accommodation sleeping 25 on a farm in West Yorkshire near Haworth

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Currer Laithe Farm, Keighley, West Yorkshire, sleeps 4 - 25 in 10 bedrooms.

The Barn (16) and Annex (4) together sleep 20
The Loft Cottage sleeps 5

Overlooking the impressive view of Airedale, Ilkley Moor to the north and Ingleborough 50 miles to the west, our 16th century barn was converted to holiday accommodation in 1980 and covenanted to The National Trust in 1988. It has welcomed thousands of guests from all corners of the world and many have been returning for well over 20 years.

Groups come for a multitude of reasons; for family and friend reunions, anniversaries and celebrations, for exploring The Dales by foot or car, for business bonding and school expeditions. We are 2 miles from Keighley where roads go north west to Skipton, Bolton Abbey, Malham and the Three Peaks, to Haworth and Bronte Country, to Wycoller, Colne, Lancashire, to Cumbria and The Lakes, east to York and The North Yorks Moors. Central on the compass makes us an obvious choice for scattered families wishing to meet.

But you need not use a car. Ramblers can walk out of the house to miles of footpaths. By one you can walk to Keighley (2 miles) and the Worth Valley Steam Railway or board the Settle to Carlisle train. By another to Bingley (2 miles) and the canal with its Five Rise Locks. A 3-mile path takes you to Haworth and the Pennine Way. We have 190 acres of pasture and woodland, riddled with footpaths. Over our boundary is St Ives Country park with golf course, lake, cafe, children's adventure playground and nature trail. Mid-week terms can be negotiated.

The houses are set on a working farm with 100+ cows and calves at any one time.

The house has a history dating back to the mid-1500s, is built of stone, mullioned and beamed. The dining room with Inglenook fire place and beehive oven, is 30ft x 12ft and is stone flagged, seats 25. The parquet tiled sitting room 24ft by 15ft, has a log fire, digital TV and DVD player. The kitchen is adequately equipped. Plenty of space for cars, mini buses, even a bus.

The Loft Cottage has its own sitting room and kitchen diner, and 2 bedrooms.

The premises can be booked either as one 6 bedroomed (16 people) unit, or with an adjacent annex and cottage. Minimum booking is 2 nights.
