Welcome to Fellside cottages, a group of 4 spacious cottages and barn conversions arranged around a courtyard, available to rent separately or together for either a relaxed or an active break.

Our cottages have full self catering facilities and all are decorated and equipped to a high standard, to provide luxurious accommodation whilst retaining numerous traditional features.

We have plenty of space inside and out for groups to get together for socialising, but also space to have time apart. Our facilities are ideal for special celebrations, including our unique dome, or the dining area in Sycamore which can seat up to 20 for formal dining. Each cottage has large living space. We also have a marquee available and can provide many catering options and ideas.

We are very centrally situated in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, in the picturesque village of Dufton, a conservation area easily reached from the M6 or the A1. Our traditional village pub, serving good food and real ale, is within easy walking distance, as is the village tea shop. The beautiful countryside that surrounds us gives varied walking and cycling opportunities right from the doorstep, including the stunning day walk of High Cup Nick as well as many less strenuous walks in the lovely Eden Valley.

We are also within easy driving distance of the Lakes, the Yorkshire Dales, Hadrian’s Wall, the Solway coast and Scotland. The cottages are very dog friendly and the area is perfect for a holiday with your pet.

Local activities available include canoeing, cycle hire, climbing, ghyll scrambling, historical walks, horse riding, golf, off-road driving, fishing and even an aerial rope playground and a zip wire halfway up a mountain. Alternatively visit the ice cream farm, pop round to the pub or just relax in the garden.

Kitchen Details
All our cottages have spacious fully equipped kitchens, including dishwashers.
Dining Room
Our Dairy (sleeping 10) has a separate oak panelled dining room. Sycamore can seat 20 to eat together.
Sitting Room
All our cottages have spacious sitting rooms, with log burners in the Farmhouse and Sycamore House. Plenty of space for celebrations and relaxation.
TV and Music Facilities
Dairy and Sycamore House have 42" TVs. Farmhouse and Barn have 32" TVs. All properties have DVD and music systems.
Telecom Facilities
Due to thick stone walls there is mostly no mobile signal inside the properties but a good signal just outside. All properties have Wifi.
Games Room
No games room.
Heating / Open Fires
All properties have central heating. The Farmhouse has a log burner in the lounge and Sycamore has one each in the kitchen and in the lounge.
All bedrooms are spacious and several have en suite facilities. A mix of king size, doubles and twins.
All linen and towels are included in the price.
We have plenty of bathroom facilities in each property, including some corner baths. Several are en suite.
Disabled Facilities
Our properties are listed so we have not been able to incorporate any facilities for wheelchairs but we have several downstairs bedrooms/bathrooms.
Children's Facilities
Our properties are very safe for children with a field for ball games or for letting off steam. There is also a children's playground in the village.
Outdoor Facilities
We have a field for barbecues plus various garden areas, as well as our unique dome, a great place for a special celebration. Marquee available.
Swimming Pool
There is a good pool in Appleby as well as several outdoor pools in nearby villages, some of which can be hired for exclusive use.
We have on-site parking for up to 10 cars, plus overflow parking if needed.
Non smoking.
We welcome pets. Our properties are dog friendly and we are in a very dog friendly area - even the pub is dog friendly.

Traditional village pub 4 doors away serving good food and real ale.

We do short breaks all year round except Christmas and New Year. Prices are:
Dairy: £1590-1730/wk, 2 ngt from £795, 3 from £955. F'house/Sycamore: £1270-1380/wk, 2 n from £635, 3 n from £760. Barn: £635-690/wk, 2 n from 318, 3 n from £380. Changeover day, arrival and departure times all flexible.
