Just 20 minutes from central London by train or car, our conference and activity centre is set in 108 acres on the edge of Epping Forest.

The White House makes a stunning backdrop for your wedding and the main hall can be transformed with an internal marquee-style liner to convert the space into a classic banqueting hall that is both elegant and weather proof. If you want to wow your guests with an historic and unique venue without breaking the bank, Gilwell Park is the ideal location for your wedding.

Unfortunatley we do not hold Stag and Hen Parties.

Our school packages are competitively priced, easy to book and residential experiences cover a range of subjects in the National Curriculum. Children attending our day and residential experiences are grateful of life changing experiences that stay with them long past the time they have left full-time education. They have fun, learn by doing and perhaps above all, teachers and pupils leave our centres with relationships that have strengthened.

It can sometimes be difficult to inspire and motivate your corporate team, but we can make that challenge easy! Choose two from over 30 exhilarating activities available from archery, aerial trek, climbing and bouldering walls and Jacob’s ladder for the ultimate team building experience. The Gilwell Challenge allows you to have some formal meeting time with your team as well as the fun, adventure and challenge of the activities. What more could you want from a great day team building with competitively priced packages including refreshments on arrival and a buffet lunch.

Facilities

Guests do not have access to a kitchen, but are provided with tea and coffee making facilities in their room.
There is a central dining room where cooked breakfasts and cereals are served. Lunch and evening meals can also be served here if pre-booked.
There is a coffee lounge and a bar area available for all our guests to use.
A colour television is provided in every bedroom.
Telephones are available in each bedroom. Call charges will be added to your room bill.
We do not have a games room, but we do have a coffee lounge and bar area available for guests to relax and socialise in.
All rooms are central heated.
We have 41 bedrooms (ranging in size and facilities (single, twin, double, deluxe double and 3 en suite)- 2 bedrooms are suitable for disabled guests.
Linen and towels are provided in the rooms.
35 of our bedrooms are en suite. Bathroom and toilet facilities are in very close proximity to our non en suite bedrooms.
We have 2 bedrooms designed for disabled users. All buildings and outdoor areas are accessible by wheelchair users.
We are a child friendly site and all our activities are available for their use. Cots are available in bedrooms. We do not have a crèche or nursery.
We have over 30 activities available on site, ranging from climbing and abseiling to raft building and a zip wire.
An outdoor swimming is located on site. This is charged at an extra cost to your room price and may not always be available for use.
Plenty of free parking is available for all our guests. We have around 200 car spaces and areas suitable for coaches and minibuses.
Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas of our site.
Sorry, no pets are allowed.

Location

Gilwell Park borders London and Essex and is within close proximity to Hertfordshire. We are easily accessible to the M25, M11 and A10.
Chingford is our nearest town and is only a short drive from our centre.
Chingford High Street is a short drive from our centre with a range of shops including banks and supermarkets.
Chingford has a good range of pubs and restaurants.
