The Main Hall itself is a fabulous room for parties, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or just somewhere to get your whole group together. Please note that Hargate Hall is essentially a DIY events venue and it can be what you want it to be with as much help on offer as required from the team.
Hargate Hall, with a wide range of accommodation and available with exclusive use of the whole, is a great venue for all types of large group events, whether it’s a 3 generation family holiday, friends reunion, corporate event or a bespoke wedding. It brilliant for hens and stags too. Set in 7 acres of gorgeous grounds and gardens, there is plenty of space for corporate team building, pretty corners for wedding photographs and endless space for children and dogs to run around on a family holiday, plus lovely woodlands to explore and terraces for barbecues and picnics.
The 12 apartments sleep between 2 and 10, all very comfortable spaces with well equipped kitchens and cosy lounges plus TVs. Some of the bigger apartments can seat larger numbers for dining although, if the whole house is booked, opt for a group meal in the Main Hall prepared by one of a number of outside caterers available locally. The configuration of bedrooms into kings or twins is an advantage for a mixed group. Bathroom facilities are also plentiful.
Hargate Hall is located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, 5 minutes from Tideswell and just over 10 minutes from Buxton. It's a fantastic location for keen walkers and cyclists for sampling the many iconic Peak District trails including the Monsal Trail and Tissington Trail. Tideswell is a large village, with independent shops and cafes and a great food festival in May. Walk to Dovedale Nature Reserve, follow the Buxton Heritage Trail or visit the famous Chatsworth House, all within easy reach.
