Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Hawse End Centre, Keswick, Lake District, sleeps 24 - 73 in 16 bedrooms.

Hawse End main centre and cottage are both available during term time and school holidays for schools and youth groups to participate in residential outdoor activities.
The centre offers a warm, homely, comfortable base for groups to return to after a day in the outdoors. We offer home cooked, healthy food at our centre, beginning with an evening meal on the day of arrival.
Facilities include bunk bedded rooms with separate staff accommodation, communal and recreational rooms, work rooms, drying room facilities and ample toilets and showers.
Our centre holds Adventure Activity Licences and complies with all current health and safety legislation and regulations. We hold The Association of Heads of Outdoor Centres Gold Award, and Adventuremark accreditation.
In addition to outdoor and curriculum based residential opportunities, we also offer non-residential activity days, meeting venues and leisure opportunities.
Activities offered range from ghyll climbing, canoe rafting, kayaking, open canoeing, caving, rock climbing, archery, mountain walking, problem solving, sailing, orienteering and abseiling. All activities are led by our qualified Outdoor Education Leaders who are experienced professionals in their field, with a sound local knowledge.
All opportunities for residential experiential learning provided by Cumbria Outdoors promote personal and social development. In addition we also offer living history and environmental awareness programmes.

Well equipped and spacious kitchen in the main house with large catering oven and hob, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.

Dining Room

Spacious dining room seating for up to 73 people in Hawse End Centre. The cottage has a smaller kitchen/diner.

Sitting Room

Beautiful, elegant lounge with original decorative fireplace, sofas and armchairs in the main house. The cottage has a smaller lounge with sofas.

TV and Music Facilities

32" flat screen TV in Hawse End Centre and Hawse End Cottage lounges.

Games Room

There is an additional reception room in Hawse End Centre, as well as another large room which can be used for outdoor kit, breakout room, or a bar!

Heating and Open Fires

Both properties are double glazed and benefit from a new storage heater system.

Bedrooms

House - 49 beds: 1 x 10,1 x 8,4 x 6,1 x 4,1 x 2,1 x 1 (en suite) in bunk bedded rooms. Cottage - 24 beds: 1 x 6, 4 x 4, 1 x 2 in bunk bedded rooms.

Linen

Bed linen is provided, as is duvets and pillows and blankets, please bring your own towels.

Bathrooms

Shower blocks in each of the buildings.

Children's Facilities

No specific facilities - please bring your own cots and high chairs.

Outdoor

Large garden and lawn areas at Hawse End Centre, plus large patio. Seating areas, barbecue and tables with views of Derwentwater, at both venues.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool, but you are on the shores of Derwentwater.

Parking

Sufficient parking for up 25 cars in the main car park and additional parking at the cottage for a further 8 cars.

Smoking

Non smoking properties.
