On the outskirts of the Derbyshire's small but perfectly formed market town, Bakewell, this is the location for those groups seeking a holiday immersed in rural activities and pursuits.

Accommodating up to 10 guests in 5 beautifully decorated twin or king-sized bedrooms, Lambton Cottage's living space is superb, spacious, contemporary and countrified, with the added benefit of a traditional log burner for those cosy winter evenings. The immaculate country style kitchen complete with a Belfast sink is the real heart of the cottage. Whether you're preparing a formal dinner or whipping up a quick supper, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cater for a group.

The property is complete with a lovely cottage garden with wonderful mature flower beds - the large patio terrace with outdoor seating and BBQ is the perfect spot to enjoy the stunning views over Bakewell and the open countryside beyond.

If it is all about location, location, location then you will not be disappointed! A gentle stroll down the hill from the property is the picturesque town of Bakewell, brimming with a selection of independent boutique shops and an array of tea shops, cafés and restaurants to choose from, not forgetting that famous pudding shop!

In the other direction, a short walk away is the Monsal Trail; why not make use of the lockable storage available at the cottage and bring your bike - whether on foot or on a bike, this old railway line is a fantastic way to view some of the Peak District's finest scenery. Chatsworth House is also only a 5 minute car journey away, a lavish stately home well worth a visit and its farmyard and adventure playground is a great way to occupy any children in your group.

There is no games room.
Central heating throughout. Log burning fire in lounge with one complimentary basket of logs provided on arrival.
5 king-sized doubles (all with twin arrangement option). 1 ground floor with shower and adjoining w/c. 1 en suite and 3 further rooms on first floor.
High quality linen throughout all bedrooms and beds made on arrival. Bath towel for each guest and hand towels provided in bathrooms.
Large, first floor family bathroom for bedrooms 3, 4 and 5. Downstairs w/c also serves ground floor bedroom that has a private shower. One en suite.
There are no specific disabled facilities. The ground floor bedroom with shower and adjoining w/c is ideal for those who struggle with stairs.
Two travel cots and high chairs available on request.
Substantial gardens adjoining open fields. Private patio terrace with outdoor seating/dining facilities.
There is no private swimming pool but there is a municipal pool in the centre of Bakewell, and the River Wye for those more adventurous guests.
Private parking for strictly no more than three cars on the drive. The garage may be used for a fourth vehicle.
No smoking inside the property, please.
Dogs welcome in the kitchen and utility rooms only. Please discuss at time of booking.

Location

Sitting in a slightly elevated position, with outstanding views over the Peak District. This quiet and peaceful residential area has stunning cycling and walking trails literally from the doorstep.
A short walk down the hill into the centre of Bakewell, a market town renowned for origination of the Bakewell Pudding. If you miss the monthly Farmer's Market, every Monday is market day.
Within a 5 minute walk you have an abundance of independent shops: butchers, delis, bakeries (including the original Bakewell Pudding Shop) or the centrally located Co-op and Spar.
There is a great variety of places to eat all closely situated, for a lovely restaurant meal try Piedaniels which specialises in French cuisine or for great gastropub food The Manners is a must!

Buxton is a 12 mile, 25 minute drive. The city of Sheffield's central railway and bus stations are around 40 minute's drive (17 miles).
Bakewell's main square by the Rutland Hotel is the best bus stop location for connections to all of the Peak District services as well as the National Express from London. This is a 5 minute walk.
Manchester Airport is a 35 mile journey (approximately 1hr 10mins depending on time of day). Although East Midlands Airport is 48 miles away, the journey duration is about the same via the M1.
