Lapwing Barns is a charming converted farmhouse and barns, refurbished to an incredibly high standard. Located two miles outside the picturesque Peak District village of Longnor, the property is in a beautiful secluded spot, allowing guests privacy and their very own exclusive venue. A perfect retreat for large groups of family and friends as well as corporate groups looking for something a little bit different!

Lapwing Barns is ideally situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, making it a great base from which to explore the area. The well known spa town of Buxton is only a 15 minute drive, the impressive stately homes of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Tissington Hall are also all within a 30 minute drive and the Alton Towers resort is less than a 40 minute drive away. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes nearby including the popular Tissington and Manifold trails, which are great traffic-free routes ideal for cyclists and walkers of all abilities.

The property has flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 30 guests over thirteen bedrooms, with nine of the bedrooms in the main house and four further bedrooms located in the newly built annexe, which is less than 10 metres away from the main house. All bedrooms have the option of being made up as doubles or twins and four of the bedrooms are family rooms, with either bunk beds or a further single bed, ideal for family groups.

With all large groups one of the most important aspects of your stay is the social and dining space and this property has tons! There are 3 separate living areas, a fantastic communal dining room allowing all 30 guests to dine together and also a large open plan farmhouse kitchen fully equipped and stocked with everything you would need to cater for a large group. This property also has its own separate games room, complete with pool table, dart board and TV, popular with groups of all ages!

Central heating throughout. Log burner in the snug at the end of the open plan dining kitchen – 1 complimentary basket of logs supplied upon arrival.
