Lockerbrook Farm Outdoor Centre, Peak District, sleeps 38 in 8 bedrooms.

Lockerbrook is owned and managed by the Woodcraft Folk. The primary purpose of the Centre is to provide residential and outdoor education experiences for young people.

Lockerbrook is situated in open countryside high above the Ladybower Reservoir and is an exciting base from which to explore the Peak District National Park.

The Centre is an old hill farm originally built in 1756 and comprises of 2 converted barns and the farmhouse which surround an enclosed courtyard.

The East Barn now provides comfortable & versatile accommodation in 4 twin bedrooms and three dorms, & the West Barn has a very large activity room with a cosy woodburning stove, comfy chairs and large social or learning space.

Whether you are looking for a space for a family gathering, a group or a school residential, Lockerbrook is a perfect base.

For schools Lockerbrook provides a safe adventurous environment in which people of all ages and abilities can experience:

The rugged environment surrounding the Centre provides a wealth of opportunities to enrich a school-based curriculum. Educational opportunities include; - GCSE & A Level field studies, tourism and land use studies, study of the Peak National Park, farm & village studies.

Through living and working together in a remote residential situation, there are tremendous opportunities for the development of personal,social skills

Well-equipped self-catering kitchen with all equipment necessary to meet your needs. Hatch from kitchen to dining room to help with food service.

Open plan bright and attractive dining area off the kitchen.

Woodburner provides a focal point for the lounge area. Large activity area for socialising/group work. flexible accommodation to meet your needs.

Large recreation hall with 2 table tennis tables, tables and chairs.
Heating / Open Fires
Centrally heated rooms. New woodburning stove and free logs in the Lounge/Activity Room.
Dormitories sleeping 6, 10 and 12 people plus 4 twin rooms.
All bedding is provided. Currently we use sheet sleeping bags with duvets/pillows. Please bring your own towel.
Modern toilet and shower facilities in both barns. One disability accessible toilet & shower room.

The grounds and gardens provide a beautiful, tranquil area to sit out and enjoy the atmosphere. Camping area for residential groups or D of E campers.
