The Long Barn is an idyllic escape for a group of friends or a family celebration. This 18th century grade 2 listed barn has been lovingly restored with lots of luxury details; it’s full of character with rustic and modern touches to make sure that your stay is perfect.
Seven generous en-suite bedrooms mean that no one gets the short straw, each with its own tv, fluffy robes and hair drier as standard. The biomass boiler means that there is constant hot water.
The galleried dining room is ideal for celebratory meals, whilst the living room with comfy sofas and wood burning stove is wonderful for relaxing. Or watch a Sky movie or play games on the Sony PS4.
The modern country kitchen is packed full of everything you need for your stay including 2 drinks chillers, a large American style fridge freezer, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, Quooker boiling tap and Sage bean to cup coffee machine.
The adjacent West Barn with underfloor hearing reveals a wonderful games room for fun and relaxation; play table tennis or table football or games on another PS3 linked to a projector.
A private south facing courtyard garden is perfect for dining outside, with a hand made oak table and benches. A large Webber gas bbq makes outside cooking easy. And on clear moonless skies, you can see the milky way.
The Long Barn is in the beautiful village of Appleton Le Moors, nestled in the North York Moors. Sheep roam through the village, hence the cattle grid to protect the beautiful courtyard garden from their attention.
The Moors Inn is the thriving village pub just a few minutes’ walk away serving hand pulled beer & excellent food. Their snug is available for guests to book for private dining or local caterers can be arranged for a meal in.
There are beautiful walks straight from the door or explore the coast on a day trip with its sandy beaches, coastal walks and picturesque fishing villages. Or visit one of the beautiful local market towns and historic sights such as Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard.
