The Old Dairy at Cherry Orchard Farm, Newland, Gloucestershire, sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms.

Hawkers Cottage and Swan Pool Cottage each sleep 4 with 2 additional sofa beds
Ann's Cottage sleeps 4 with 1 further sofa bed

Each cottage has 2 shower or bath rooms with WC.

The spaciousness of these cottages makes them ideal for large families, or groups of families or friends. Hawkers and Swan Pool Cottage have mezzanine floors that provide extra living or playing space upstairs. You can take advantage of the sofa beds there to have extra guests, for grandparents to stay, or for children to have 'sleepovers'.

A large dining room for 22 can be created in Swan Pool Cottage for a special occasion if you put all the cottages' kitchen tables together!

Cherry Orchard Farm is located in the heart of the Forest of Dean and as such is a fantastic base for all kinds of outdoor activities. Walks straight from the back door take you to the Wye Valley and Offa's Dyke Path. There are mountain bike trails galore and 'Pedalabikeaway', a family bike hire centre, with a dedicated route. You can canoe, play golf, go horse riding, go abseiling or indeed 'Go Ape' in the tree tops. Or you could sit in the garden with a glass of wine and soak up the beautiful view and the spectacular sunsets. A visit to Puzzle Wood is a must for it's magical ancient landscape; the film buffs among you will be pleased to see where parts of Star Wars and Dr. Who were filmed.

The market towns of Monmouth and Chepstow are 4 and 12 miles away respectively. The city of Gloucester with it's ancient cathedral and pleasant docks area is 20 miles away. Genteel Cheltenham, good for shopping and the literary festival, is 30 miles away. Vibrant Bristol is 40 miles away.

The Old Dairy holiday cottages also make a great base for discovering Wales with it's many castles and the beautiful walking country of the Brecon Beacons.

Kitchen Details
The kitchens are bright, well equipped and open-plan. They have good sized ovens with ceramic hobs, dishwashers and fridge-freezers.
Dining Room
Dining areas are light, spacious and open-plan, next to patio doors leading out to the garden. 22 people could eat together in Swan Pool Cottage.
Sitting Room
Sitting rooms are bright, comfortable and open-plan, for 6-8 people. Hawkers and Swan Pool Cottage have further sitting/playing room upstairs.
TV and Music Facilities
In Hawkers Cottage there is a TV/DVD/radio on the mezzanine floor. Swan Pool has the same upstairs and down. Ann's Cottage has one downstairs.
Telecom Facilities
There is WiFi available. Mobile phone reception is sketchy in this area. Some networks provide some coverage.
Games Room
There is a folding table tennis table which can be used outside.
Heating / Open Fires
Each cottage has underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. Your first basket of logs is free!
Hawkers and Ann's Cottage each have a kingsize and twin bedroom. Swan Pool has one king and one double room which is wheelchair friendly and en suite.
All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided for guests at no extra cost.
Hawkers Cottage has 2 shower rooms. Ann's Cottage has 1 large shower room and a bathroom. Swan Pool has 1 bathroom and 1 wetroom. (WC in each).
Disabled Facilities
Swan Pool Cottage is wheelchair friendly with access ramps and wide doorways. The ground floor bedroom has a wheelhair friendly wetroom.
Children's Facilities
Travel cots, a chair bed and high chairs are all available for guests to use at no extra cost. Baby sitting is sometimes available on request.
Outdoor Facilities
Private patio area for each cottage with tables and chairs and benches to seat 8 people. Steps lead up to a large communal grass play area.
Swimming Pool
There is no swimming pool.
There is plenty of level parking space in the area next to the cottages.
The cottages are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside if it doesn't affect other guests and cigarette ends are disposed of carefully.
Pets are not allowed as there are sheep on the farm.

The Old Dairy is half a mile from the picturesque village of Newland with it's beautiful 13th century church. It is perfectly placed for exploring both the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.

Nearest Bus
The nearest major bus stop is at Coleford, 2 miles away. There is also a bus station at Monmouth, 4 miles away.
Nearest Airport
Bristol Airport is 40 miles away.
Nearest Town
Coleford, a smaller market town is the nearest at 2 miles away. It has 3 supermarkets, pubs and takeaways, greengrocer, butchers, gift shops, chemists, library, cinema and Tourist Information Centre.
Nearest Shop
Redbrook Village Shop is 1.5 miles away. It's a well stocked and friendly shop and Post Office which sells a lot of local produce and really good bread!
Nearest Pub / Eatery
The award winning Ostrich Inn, a 12th century pub, is half a mile, or an easy 10 minute walk away. It serves cask ales and classic British cuisine and has a beer garden and a roaring log fire.

Booking Information

High season rates also apply to Easter, Christmas and New Year weeks and weekend breaks that include a Bank Holiday or half term breaks.
£25 supplement per person per night using the sofabeds.
Changeover day is Friday, or Monday for short breaks. Guests are welcome to arrive from 3.30 pm onwards.
