Pocklington School offers excellent facilities for both residential and non-residential groups in the summer and Easter school holidays.

The school is also an ideal venue for conferences, either residential or one day seminars. With a state of the art auditorium and on-site catering, a complete package can be tailor made to suit the needs of most organisations.

Situated on a large 65 acre campus on the edge of Pocklington near the historic City of York, the school is easily accessible by road and can offer a wide range of accommodation with on-site professional catering to meet the needs of organisers of summer camps, conferences, sport, leisure, music and drama activities.

The boarding houses offer comfortable accommodation with a mix of single, twin and 4-bed rooms. Each has a comfortable common room with TV and games, a kitchen for light snacks, and ample bathroom facilities.

Full professional catering can be provided in our central dining hall. Choose from B&B, half board or full board.

Our first class sports facilities include 21 acres of grass, rugby, cricket and hockey pitches. Two full sized sand dressed synthetic pitches (1 floodlit) provide two full sized hockey pitches or (in summer) 18 tennis courts. We also have an indoor sports hall and our own indoor swimming pool.

The Tom Stoppard Theatre is a state of the art auditorium dedicated to the performing arts and can seat 300 people. It has the latest in audio-visual technology. In addition to the theatre, the wood panelled Music School is ideal for smaller recitals or concerts.

The school does have some ground floor bedrooms, and one disabled bathroom. Wheelchair access, however, is limited.

Kitchens are available in each boarding house, equipped with kettles/ microwaves and toasters, ideal for preparing light snacks.

Dining Room

Centrally located in the Campus, the dining room has seating for 150 but can also be used for as a venue to hold a supper concert or musical evening.

Sitting Room

All boarding houses have comfortable sitting rooms with squashy sofas and arm chairs. All have flat screen TVs and DVD players. Ideal for relaxing.

TV and Music Facilities

Flat screen TVs and DVD players are in all sitting rooms within the boarding houses.

Games Room

Pool and table tennis tables are available in the boarding house common rooms.

Heating and Open Fires

All our accommodation is centrally heated.

Bedrooms

70 bedrooms providing a mixture of single/twin and four bed rooms. Spread across three boarding houses. All with wardrobe space and dressing tables.

All bedding is provided along with towels.

Bathrooms

Each boarding house has ample bathroom and toilet facilities on both the first and ground floors. En-suite rooms available.

There are no specific children's facilities.

Extensive sports field and astro pitches.

Swimming Pool

Superb indoor pool. A qualified lifeguard must always be in attendance. The school can provide a lifeguard but a charge will be made for this.
