Roslyn House is an impressive, spacious 5 bedroomed home which is in an outstanding location in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park. Some of the Peak Districts finest walking can be done direct from the door, the famous market town of Bakewell is within easy walking distance (less than a mile) and in the opposite direction a short walk through the fields following the meandering River Wye will take you to the pretty village of Ashford in the Water famous for its medieval sheepwash bridge. The village is served by two well respected country pubs, The Bulls Head & The Ashford Arms, both are a great place to stop and sample a local ale.

The property is uniquely designed and immaculately presented 5 bedroom detached home, finished to a very high standard and specification with triple glazing, underfloor heating and solid oak woodwork throughout. The house has been decorated in contemporary style with luxury in mind and is the perfect base for families and mix groups to explore the Peak District.

A large beautifully decorated 22ft lounge is an ideal space for groups to relax and socialise in. With the open fire creating a cosy atmosphere, prefect for relaxing in after a day exploring the Peaks. There is a fantastic dining kitchen fitted with steamed beech units and granite work surfaces. It is fully stocked with all the equipment you need to enjoy a self catered group holiday.
Outside an elevated decked terrace with contemporary glass screening is a perfect place to relax or enjoy alfresco dining. There is also a further decked area with outdoor seating and BBQ at the bottom of the mature garden.

You are literally a short drive away from the most amazing of Peak District treats for you to enjoy - Bakewell (2 minutes), Chatsworth House (5 mins), Haddon Hall (10 minutes), historic spa town of Buxton (12 minutes) to name just a few. From Bakewell you can jump onto The Monsal Trail which can take you all the way off road by foot or bicycle to Buxton with lovely cafes to stop off at on the way.

Facilities

Dining kitchen fitted with all the mod cons, including a Rangemaster stove, with double ovens and five ring gas hob. Fully equipped for group stays.
Separate dining room with table and seating that can accommodate all guests together, also table and chairs in kitchen for more informal meals.

LCD TV and sound system and in the lounge and additional LCD TV in second sitting room. Also iPod docking station.

The second sitting room works really well as a child's play room with extra TV and sofas.
Underfloor heating and open fire in the living room (please supply your own logs/coal).
5 bedrooms with the option of the sofa bed being used in the second sitting room. Sleeps a total of 12 guests in a mix of kings/double and twins.
Linen and towels included.
3 bathrooms in total, 2 en suite and 1 large luxury family bathroom. Also there is a downstairs WC.
The property is not suitable for disabled guests.
Child/family friendly accommodation - cots/high chairs available. Second sitting room works well as play room with additional LCD TV.
Terrace with barbecue facilities and seating. To the rear mature garden with lawn and flowering borders and further decked area with outside seating.
There is no swimming pool. There is one within walking distance in Bakewell.
Private parking on drive for 4 cars. On street parking nearby.
Please - no smoking inside the house.
We welcome pets but only by prior arrangement.

Set back from the road and perfectly located within a mile (easy walking distance) of the famous market town of Bakewell and a short walk through fields by the meandering River Wye to Ashford Village.
You are literally a short drive (2 minutes) or walk away from Bakewell which is served by shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Spoilt for choice - the village of Ashford in the Water is served by two well respected pubs, The Bulls Head & The Ashford Arms and Bakewell has 6 pubs and plenty of cafes and restaurants.
