Smithy's Bunkhouse, Monmouthshire, Wales, sleeps 24 in 2 bedrooms.

At Lower House Farm, we can offer all types of accommodation from Camping, a Bunkhouse through to recently renovated Cottages that have each been awarded 4 Dragons through the Welsh Tourist Board.


The accommodation consists of 2 dormitories each sleeping 12 people.

There are separate showers and toilets, with wash hand basin and shaver points. A fully equipped kitchen and common room.

Ample car parking. Space is also available in the adjoining fields for games of football etc.


Two stone-built period cottages have recently been converted, adjoining the main farmhouse.

Each cottage sleeps 4 guests, and have double and twin bedded rooms.

Hen Ty (old house) has an open plan kitchen and lounge with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge area with TV and video.

Dan Y Berllan (Bottom of the Orchard) is the slightly larger of the two cottages with a separate kitchen and sitting room area.


Currently we offer two types of camping. A Wilderness option where you have the use of none of the facilities and are generally left to your own devices (within reason) and secondly a more civilised option where you currently share the facilities with the Bunkhouse.

Smithy's Bunkhouse is located in the small village of Pantygelli, (which boasts a Pub, Garage, several houses and a lot of sheep!) North of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales.

Abergavenny has a main line railway station served by Great Western Trains and a Bus station served by a number of the national and local bus operators.
