Stonebarrow Manor is perfectly situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and just a few minutes walk from Charmouth beach. Spacious and warm it can sleep up to 38 people in comfort and has the dining facilities for such large groups to eat together too.

We are perfect for family gatherings and holidays, special birthdays and anniversaries, large group weekends and re-unions, company motivation trips and workshops, lecture and study days.

Our wonderful caterers are available for a special celebratory meal and we can help with photographers, florists and pre-arrival shopping.

The house, parts of which date from the 16th century, is set in around two acres of garden and orchard, on the South West Coastal Path at the foot of Stonebarrow Hill on the eastern edge of the lovely Regency village of Charmouth.

Stonebarrow Manor is a perfect base for walking and fossil hunting along the world famous Jurassic Coast. The coastline is now part of a World Heritage Site and the whole area is one of outstanding natural beauty. A few minutes walk into the village brings you to the famous fossil cliffs and part sandy beach of Jane Austen’s “sweet retired bay”. Two miles away is Lyme Regis and the “Cobb.”

Charmouth is ideally placed for day excursions into east Devon or east to the Georgian town of Bridport and “Hardy” country to Dorchester. There are several beaches nearby and many wonderful walks across the cliffs or local paths and nature reserves.

Local leisure facilities include a covered heated pool, golf, sailing, tennis, deep sea fishing and diving, fly fishing, coarse fishing and horse riding across Golden Cap. Organised fossil hunts are regularly available.

A little further afield are the unique Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury with its Swannery and sub-tropical gardens and the bustling resort of Weymouth.


Superbly equipped with commercial size utensils, large commercial griddle, range cooker with 6 gas rings, 3 ovens, grill and a microwave.
A big square table with additional add on tables to seat 38. Plus a large open area with log fire and room for entertainment or dancing.
Two - Red room, 22ft with sofas, armchairs, TV, puzzles and games. Green room has sofas, chairs, TV and terrace access. Both have wood burning stove.
2 televisions with free view, piano, CD player with iPod and DVD, there is also Wi-Fi.
Excellent mobile reception. Wifi available.
Games Room has table tennis, board games and pool table. Double doors lead on to the terrace.
Full central heating, wood burning stoves and open fires.
Three Wings. Front Wing plus Back Wing bedrooms 1-15 sleeps 29 (there is no 13!) Front Wing plus Back Wing plus Garden Wing bedrooms 1-19 sleep 38.
Bed linen is included in the hire charge, however we request that clients bring their own personal towels and tea towels.
There are 13 en-suite bathrooms, plus two private and one house bathroom. All bathrooms have their own WC.
Bedrooms and bathrooms on ground floor (please note few steps up).
2 cots, 1 high chair. The walled garden is a secure area for unsupervised children. There are some board games and puzzles available.
Purpose built double brick BBQ and picnic area with picnic tables. Terrace with tables and chairs. Walled garden with seating.
No but the sea is very close by and indoor pools available locally.
Ample parking
No smoking.
Well behaved dogs by prior arrangement.

3 minutes walk to The George and the Abbots House Restaurant. 5 minutes to the award winning White House Restaurant and village fish and chip shop.
