The gentleman’s style main house residence is charming with fabulous views onto the grounds with our resident sheep and the distant Fairfield / Helvellyn mountain range. During 2016 a total number of 42 beds are available 26 of these are in the main house in 7 rooms. These range from a private double en suite to a 6 person shared dorm with shared wash facilities. All are B&B.

Our separate self catering bunkhouse with 16 beds, 4 rooms x 4 bunks, sits directly underneath Helm Crag with excellent views of the Easedale Valley and distant mountain ranges. All facilities for dining and socialising are shared with other residents in the main house. The bunkhouse was upgraded in 2013 with a new independent entrance, plus 3 new shared unisex toilets and showers.

Typically we will have a range of smaller groups, families and individuals. Due to Thorney How being a larger property with several flexible spaces this is a very satisfactory arrangement.

Exclusive bookings are available with some restrictions. Thorney How staff will be present during your stay.
