Sleeps 2 - 200 60 Bedrooms 100 Dining

Large catered residential centre sleeping up to 200 for youth and school groups for water sports in West Cowes

Residential Watersports Centre for Schools and Groups

UKSA’s large 4-acre secure site can accommodate school and youth groups of all sizes (up to 200+ people). Our dormitory style accommodation blocks contain self-contained 4-8 berth bunk rooms with separate bathrooms, single and twin rooms available for leaders. All groups have sole occupancy of an accommodation area. Wheelchair accessible bedrooms are also available.

B&B, half board or full board options are available. B&B includes breakfast served in UKSA’s on-site canteen. Full board includes three meals a day, with a packed lunch for when you’re on the move.

We have various size classrooms, study areas and meeting rooms available for your group to use. Other onsite facilities include dining room and in-house catering, indoor heated swimming pool, full-sized sports hall, drying room for wet kit, a dedicated young person’s chill-out area, WiFi, bar, toilets and changing rooms.

UKSA enjoys a waterfront location in Cowes on the sunny Isle of Wight and is the perfect location to use as a base camp or combine your residential stay with watersports and team building activities. Learn to sail, paddleboard, windsurf kayak and more. Activities are tailored to your groups desires, age, and ability. Extend your trip with visits to some of the islands famous attractions like Dinosaur Isle or Osborne House.

We define skills for life as being the 6 steps to success. We measure young people’s perception of their communication, decision making, participation, self-belief, determination, and resilience at the beginning of their visit, and again at the end of their stay. We share the outcomes achieved and insights gathered with schools to measure the impact of the experience on students’ personal development. One group leader shared with us how great it was to see their group increase communication and social skills through a range of water-based activities and through spending a week together.

UKSA are open all year apart from 2 weeks over the Christmas period.
