FAQ’s

1.Where are the best beaches in the UK?

This is a tricky one…the UK really does boast some amazing beaches all along its perimeter. However, the beaches thought to be the most awe-inspiring are generally found in Cornwall, Norfolk, Dorset, and Wales.

2.What should I look for when booking a beach house?

It’s a good idea to check just how close to the beach your property is. Will you have to hop in the car for 5 minutes, or could you stroll there in that time? Is it an easy walk? The other thing to consider is how high up your property is, and how accessible the beach is. If you’re taking small children, you may not want to face a long hike up and down steps for example. Another consideration is whether there are any cafés or shops within easy reach of the beach, do you need to pack a picnic for each visit, or can you grab a bite to eat while you’re there?

3. Can I book a beach house online?

Absolutely! Once you’ve selected your chosen property, you’ll be able to contact the owner directly from the Group Accommodation website. From there they’ll be able to get your stay booked, and take care of any additional questions you might have.

4. Can I bring my dog with me?

Most of the properties on this list are happy to accept a dog, when looking at your property, you’ll be able to check this, and any minor additional charges by looking under the ‘facilities’ section. You can check out all of our dog-friendly properties here.

5. Are UK beaches dog friendly?

Most of the beaches will accept dogs seasonally, but a lot of them will stop dogs at certain times of the year. This is always nice and easy to check on the local council’s website.
