How to organise a self catering holiday in 2021

Many of you will now be desperate to plan a family gathering in 2021 and beyond.

With different COVID-19 restrictions in place across different countries within the UK, the below is a brief summary of the current situation:

England:

From 17th May: Groups of up to 6 people or 2 households can stay in self contained holiday accommodation.

From 21st June at the earliest: It is hoped that there will be no restrictions on the number that can stay together in holiday accommodation.

 

Wales:

From 17th May: Members of an extended household can stay in self catering holiday accommodation.

Children under 11 are not included in the limits on guest numbers.

 

Scotland:

From 17th May:

Level 2 – Up to 6 people from up to 3 households can stay overnight in self catering accommodation.

Level 1 – Up to 6 people from up to 3 households can stay in self catering accommodation.

Level 3 - Some areas remain in Level 3, where overnight stays are not permitted.

From late June (date to be confirmed): Level Zero - it is hoped that up to 8 people from up to 4 households will be able to stay in self catering accommodation

Children of 12 years and under are not included in the limits on guest numbers.

 

Northern Ireland:

From 30th April: Guests from 1 household can stay in self contained holiday accommodation.

From 24th May at the earliest: 6 people from up to 2 households may be able to stay overnight in self catering accommodation.

Children aged 12 and under are not counted in the total.
