This is a family holiday house in Matlock Bath, ideal for multi generational groups, friends, hikers and cyclists looking to meet up to explore this wonderful national park and all that it has to offer. It's also a lovely house for low key birthday celebrations or other special occasions.
The house is spread across 3 floors with living accommodation on the ground floor, although there is an extra breakfast kitchen on the top floor. The kitchen is well equipped with dining areas inside and out, sociable tables for catching up and celebratory dinners. After a day out walking, the lounge is a comfy room with lots of seating and a Smart TV.
The outside area makes the most of the space available. There is a great seating space overlooking The Parade and the Derwent, as well as a rear garden and patio terrace for barbecues and drinks. Across the road there are 2 children's play areas, space to run around and burn off excess energy.
Bedrooms are configured as kings, doubles or triples, a convenient mix for groups of mixed ages. They are stylishly decorated and have large picture windows with views. The 2 triple rooms on the top floor provide a tucked away haven for the younger members of the group. There are 2 en suite shower rooms with other bathrooms shared. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor.
Matlock Bath has a main street lined with interesting shops and cafes as well as the departure site for a cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham. Matlock is a short drive away and guests can visit Hall Leys Park with its boating lake, riverside walks, tennis courts and skateboard park.
Further afield in the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District National Park are a host of local attractions all within a short trip, including the stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, along with miles of walks through the dales and peaks stunning countryside, the High Peak, Monsal and Tissington trails all starting nearby.
