The Ackers Residential Centre (ARC) offers simple, self-catering group accommodation right on the grounds of Ackers Adventure. Set in 75 acres of green space just 2 miles from Birmingham city centre, it’s a great-value spot for school trips, youth groups, sports teams, family get-togethers, or weekend breaks with friends.

Practical Accommodation

You get the whole place to yourselves on a sole use basis. The centre sleeps up to 26 people in 9 bunk-bed rooms and includes:

 Fully equipped self-catering kitchen and eating area so you can keep food costs low
 Comfy rec room with a DVD player, and table tennis table
 Separate male and female showers and toilets, plus lift access
 Outside brick BBQ for outdoor meals
 Free parking on site
 Large indoor space for common room/dining room
 Complimentary Disc golf session for the group

On-Site Activities

Because you’re staying right at Ackers Adventure, we can easily build custom activity packages for your stay. Try everything from skiing, snowboarding, climbing and zip-lining to kayaking, archery, bushcraft and team-building games.

You get the best of both worlds: outdoor space to burn off energy, plus Birmingham city centre right down the road. It’s also a hassle-free base for visiting Cadbury World, Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon or Alton Towers.

## Facilities

- **Accessibility:** The ARC has a lift, and one shower suitable for disabled people.
- **WiFi:** The centre has free WiFi to use while you stay. Mobile reception is good for most networks.
- **Kitchen:** The ARC has a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge, chest freezer, two oven, hobs, kettles, toaster, cutlery, plates, dishes and cups.
- **Dining Room:** The dining area can seat up to 30 people for dining. Tables and chairs are available for you to set up as you wish.
- **Sitting Room:** The ARC has a recreation room that has a TV and DVD player with a wide selection of videos, DVDs, a table tennis table and board games.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** TV & DVD/video player for DVDs and videos only. There is a wide selection of DVDs and videos to choose from or you are welcome to bring your own.
- **Games Room:** Recreation room for games and watching DVDs. There is a table tennis table with bats and balls.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Heating is set for the duration of your stay.
- **Bedrooms:** The ARC has 9 bedrooms that sleep either 2 or 4 people in bunk beds.
- **Linen:** Pillows, cases and blankets provided. We recommend you bring sleeping bags or a duvet/sheets and towels. Sheets can be hired for £30 per group.
- **Bathrooms:** The ARC has separate male and female toilets and showers plus a disabled toilet and shower.
- **Children's Facilities:** There are no facilities especially for children. There are games and a table tennis table. All of the outdoor activities are suitable for ages 5+.
- **Outdoor:** The ARC is situated next to the Grand Union Canal in 75 acres of parkland within its own secure area. There is a barbecue and table tennis table.
- **Parking:** There is free parking for approximately 20 cars. Additional parking can be used elsewhere on site if necessary.
- **Smoking:** Smoking is not permitted in the building, there is a designated area outside for smoking.
