This pretty group of holiday cottages in the market town of Saxmundham is a great choice for friends and 3 generation families to get together for a holiday or short break. 2 of the properties are single storey, something to think about for anyone less mobile. All Seasons is really close to town too and a 5 minute walk takes you to great pubs, restaurants, takeaways and interesting little shops. Bring your 4 legged friends by prior arrangement.
All Seasons Cottages have plenty of traditional features such as vaulted ceilings, original beams and stone walls. Kitchens have recently been refurbished and are well equipped for the number of guests. The 2 larger ones have space for a dishwasher and washing machine. 2 cottages have open plan living although Flint Cottage has a separate dining room. It is also possible to enjoy eating outside in the enclosed courtyard gardens if the weather is kind. Corner Cottage has decorative feature fireplaces, and Flint Cottage has a cosy (working) wood stove to sit next to when settling down to watch a box set on the Smart TV or for a chat with loved ones.
Accommodation is a mix of doubles or twins, which can be organised to accommodate guests’ preferences, so works well for mixed groups. Bedrooms are really beautifully designed with stylish soft furnishings. The vaulted ceiling in Chapel Cottage is particularly a sight to behold, although all retain original beams. Bathrooms are modern and all have baths with a shower over.
The beauty of the location is the easy stroll into Saxmundham. There is plenty to see such as the Town Trail which traces the history of this important market town and its position on the old coaching route from London, as well as a local history museum. Visit the ancient castles of Framlingham and Orford, or Helmingham Hall Gardens a short drive away. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is a magnet for keen walkers and the fabulous beaches hugely popular with families.
