Staying at Almiral is a unique experience: renovated with great care and attention to detail, this beautiful ‘masia’ (Catalan manor house), offers high-tech modern comforts whilst retaining the historic charm and character of the original building. Set high on a hillside in the Penedes wine region, the masia is surrounded by the Garraf National Park and offers dramatic sea or mountain views from every room or terrace. This tranquil haven has more than 300 acres of private grounds with vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees, yet is only a 30 minute drive from Barcelona and 10 minutes from the lively beach resort of Sitges. This historic masia is ideal for families and corporate groups, and for occasions such as weddings, filming and production launches. You should try the boutique cava and wine made from Almiral's best grapes. The facilities for large groups of all ages are diverse and the spaces are arranged for groups to enjoy each other's company and also to have breathing spaces with a range of activities from snooker and swimming to relaxing in the hot tub Jacuzzi and sauna and a very well equipped gym. You might simply want to stay at Almiral or you might want to venture into the surrounding area where you will find all sorts of activities and interests are catered for. From the vibrant bars, restaurants and clubs of Sitges to the tranquil wineries of the Penedes. Culturally there is Barcelona to the north and Tarragona to the south and inland Montserrat, Santes Creus and Poblet. Many golf courses are within a short drive of Almiral. The closest is 10 minutes away on the Sitges coast - Terramar club - but there are many more. Almiral de la Font makes its own wine and cava.
