Great value bunkhouse sleeping 60 for large group reunions, school trips and team building challenges on Dartmoor
Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Bachelor's Hall, Princetown, Dartmoor, Devon, sleeps 10 - 60 in 8 bedrooms.
Bachelor's Hall is perfect for large groups of up to 60 adults or children, for a wide range of purposes: families and friends are welcome, and we work really well for corporate groups looking for a team building venue with outdoor challenges. And of course school and youth groups of all types will find this the ideal setting for residentials and outdoor activity trips.
Bachelor's Hall has been totally refurbished in summer 2019 and now offers a high standard of great value bunk bed accommodation, with all rooms named after the famous tors of Dartmoor. There are a total of 6 bedrooms in the bunkhouse and 2 additional pods.
On the ground floor in the bunkhouse there is a well-equipped commercial kitchen, and a large dining area with seating. Also on this level are 2 of the bedrooms (sleeping 4 in each) and an accessible bathroom with WC, shower, hand basin. And for outdoor enthusiasts there's a handy drying room, which also sleeps 4 if required.
The first floor has the other 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with 2 showers, 2 WC and 3 hand basins in each.
Outside are the 2 Pods (Burrator and Tyrwhitt) both sleeping 4. In addition groups have use of a barbecue area, fire pit and outside seating.
On site there is parking for 8 cars or 5 minibuses. Please note that there is no access for coaches further than Princetown which is 1.2 miles away.
The setting of Bachelor's Hall in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park makes this the perfect spot for walking and exploring the beautiful and stark moors, magnificent stone tors and ancient clapper bridges, and provides a great opportunity to be amongst the famous Dartmoor ponies roaming the craggy landscape.
Once you have explored the Moors, there are other places within easy reach worth a visit. Princetown is close by with shops and pubs/cafes and it's also home to Dartmoor prison with a visitor centre.
