Beautifully warm Cotswold stone on the outside, light and airy inside. The Barrel Store is an environmentally-minded hostel; built to rigorous environmental (Passivhaus) standards, we are an ultra-low energy building.

Our 14 rooms are well-appointed with beautiful craft features throughout. From locally-made warm woollen throws to wrap up in, to artisan-made chairs and light shades, this is a hostel which makes the most of its association with New Brewery Arts next door to create a hostel with a real difference.

We have a Community Room with self-catering kitchen, communal table and comfy chairs to relax in. You’ll have access to free wi-fi and a selection of games. We can offer group catering through our cafe, Blend. The skilled team can offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options either in The Barrel Store or their sunny cafe, located on the mezzanine floor of New Brewery Arts.

The Barrel Store is brilliantly located, right in the centre of Cirencester. All of the amenities you need and everything you’d expect of an historic market town are right on our doorstep, but quiet and peaceful.

For visitors wishing to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty by car, cycle or walking, we are perfectly located. Cirencester is on national cycle network routes and walking trails, and we have we have lockable cycle stores allocated on a first come, first serve basis. If it's an activity holiday you're after, Cotswold Water Park is right around the corner with water skiing, sailing and a beach.

Looking for something a bit more leisurely? The Cotswolds has an enormous amount on offer. If you love heritage, there is an abundance of wonderful stately homes, manor houses, churches and museums to visit nearby. Or why not book a craft workshop for you and a few friends at New Brewery Arts and make a weekend of it? Go home with something you’ve made and a new skill.

- **Accessibility:** We have one ground floor room suitable for guests with special access needs, including wheelchair users, which has an accessible shower room.

- **Kitchen:** The Barrel Store has community room with a small self-catering, communal kitchen. We do not provide catering but can recommend external caterers.
- **Dining Room:** The Community Room has a large table seating 14-16 people. Handcrafted chairs and tables reflect the craft heritage of New Brewery Arts.
- **Sitting Room:** The lounge area is part of the Community Room. There are comfy chairs and a small selection of games.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There is no TV available.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** The Barrel Store is built to Passivhaus standards, with excellent thermal performance and exceptional environmental credentials.
- **Bedrooms:** Guest accommodation over two floors in 14 rooms, with single, bunk, family and double
bedrooms, 12 with en-suite bathrooms; exclusive or shared use.
- **Linen:** All linen and towels are provided at no extra cost.
- **Bathrooms:** 12 en suite bathrooms; 2 rooms have shared bathrooms.
- **Children's Facilities:** High chairs; family rooms sleeping 3 or 4 people available.
- **Outdoor:** Based in central Cirencester, there is no garden, but New Brewery Arts with its craft facilities, gallery and Cafe is right next door.
- **Parking:** Free parking from 6pm-8am Monday to Sunday; Pay and Display at other times. 298 spaces, 6 disabled. Nearest space 20m to Barrel Store.
- **Smoking:** Non-smoking throughout.

- Sleeps up to 40 guests. Prices shown are for the whole of the Barrel Store on exclusive hire. 10% deposit on booking, 90% 4 weeks before arrival. Damage deposit £200 refundable after inspection. Ask about prices for smaller groups.
