Barton Court is a beautiful Georgian property set in 6 acres of private grounds. The main house has been described as 'one of the great houses of Herefordshire' and is a magical place for gatherings and celebrations of all kinds.
The main house, sleeping 26, has 11 bedrooms, 9 en suite bathrooms and 2 separate shower rooms, all hotel quality, plus 3 cloakrooms, a formal dining room, a library and a well equipped kitchen. One ground floor suite is wheelchair friendly. Take the annexe, The Coach House, as well to sleep 6 more.
There are more buildings on the estate which can be rented separately:
Hayloft sleep 2
Clock Tower sleeps 2
We also have 2 spacious barns available separately for weddings, event and conferences.
The property is full of history, inside and out: from the medieval dovecote (a listed National Monument) to the bridge over the road that connects the old Pleasure Garden to the house. But although historic and stylish, Barton Court still has the welcoming atmosphere of a well loved home.
The generous proportions of the rooms mean that large numbers can gather together without feeling cramped. Outside, within the high walls and topiarised hedges of the grounds, are numerous green rooms to explore, plus 2 ponds and a gravity fed fountain. The gardens are perfect for all manner of games with a fire pit and seating for summer evenings. We can arrange hot tub hire for you.
Barton Court is self catering but, if the thought of cooking for such large numbers is daunting, we can organise help and there is a stylish on site cafe, too.
Barton Court is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is ideal for exploring the delights of the Malverns, Cotswolds, the Welsh border and the heart of England. Direct train services to London and Birmingham plus easy access to the motorway network mean that, although in deep country, you are not isolated. Ledbury and Malvern, the closest towns, have plenty to offer in terms of entertainment and eating out.
