Barton Court is a welcoming, beautiful venue for your special occasion.

Extended in 1780 by Henry Lambert to be a fashionable home for his new bride, it is an exquisite example of grace and elegance. It combines period charm with modern facilities, is stylish and comfortable.

The house sits in 6 acres of garden with two natural ponds, a gravity fed fountain and numerous outbuildings. There are 11 bedrooms of very generous proportions in the main house, 9 with its own bathroom, 2 with dedicated shower rooms which sleep up to 26 people in comfort. There is an annexe to the main house that can accommodate 8 more guests while The Clock Tower is the perfect place for the honeymoon couple. Our converted stable, The Loose Box is a terrific pad for the groomsmen and offers 2 bedrooms with an additional one bedroomed flat above.

The dining room can seat 30 people and the drawing room is large enough for a ceremony of up to 100 people or a wedding breakfast for 80. The Engine Room can be used for dining or marrying and has a charming rustic feel, in contrast to the chic sophistication of the main house. You can put up a marquee on the lawn in the Walled Garden and greet your guests for drinks looking across the garden to the Malvern Hills. Depending on the space you choose, you can host up to 200 guests.

We are very excited about our Fire Station complex. It is a converted Saw Mill and Dutch Barn with stunning views to the hills available for weddings and events for up to 100. Marry in the Saw Mill, dine and party in the Dutch Barn.

Barton Court has a rich variety of spaces, all set in the most beautiful surroundings, that will enable you to create exactly the right feel for your wedding.

Dog Friendly

Dogs are welcome and can be housed in their very own quarters, if you wish. We also have 3 ferret cages!

The decor is stylish and contemporary with a range of great appliances: an induction hob, 2 full double ovens, 3 dishwashers, 2 large fridges.

Dining Room

The formal dining room is furnished with antiques and seats up to 36. We can organise all levels of catering for you. The barn seats up to 90.

Sitting Room

Grand drawing room with superb period plasterwork seating 24 plus. There is a library with easy seating for 8 - 10.

TV and Music Facilities

In the drawing room and library, a flat screen TV with DVD player, SKY and Freeview.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating. New fire regulations mean that we can no longer let you have open fires. There is a log burner in The Clock Tower.

Bedrooms

Main house: 11 bedrooms, 3 on ground floor, 1 wheelchair friendly. Annexe has 3 bedrooms. Clock Tower and Hayloft have 1 bedroom each.

Linen

Crisp laundered white bed linen on the beds, made up as per your instructions. A fluffy white bath sheet and hand towel supplied for each person.

Bathrooms

Main house: 9 en suite bathrooms, 2 separate shower rooms, 3 cloakrooms. Clock Tower: 1 shower room and further en suite loo. Hayloft: 1 bathroom.

Outdoor

6 acres of grounds with 2 ponds. Fire pit, hot tub by arrangement. Croquet/games lawn.

Booking Information

Minimum 2 night stays. 50% non refundable booking fee to secure the property. The balance and a refundable £1000 damage deposit are due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. Changeover days are normally Monday and Friday but please contact us with any specific requests. Midweek breaks welcomed.

Location

On the edge of the village of Colwall, between Ledbury and Malvern and within easy reach of M50 and Colwall main line station to London and Birmingham.

Ledbury and Malvern are equidistant from the property and offer a wealth of shops and restaurants.
In the village, about a mile from the house, there is a pharmacy, a butcher, a general store and hairdresser. The full range of supermarkets etc is available in Ledbury and Malvern.
We have a cafe on site serving great coffee, fabulous cakes, lunches and savouries. In the village are a couple of pubs and a Thai restaurant. We can arrange catering for you, too.
Birmingham.
Colwall with direct services to London and Birmingham.
Within a 5 minute walk. If you ask nicely, the driver will drop you at the gate.
