## About The Property

This is an idyllic island destination on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Bay View House, a holiday house on Clare Island, is only a short ferry ride from the mainland yet feels a million miles away from the strains of modern life. Park up at Roonagh Quay, get on board and escape to this little corner of bliss. A great choice for friends, multi generation families and intimate weddings for 65 or fewer guests.

The property has undergone some fantastic changes recently with a brand new state of the art kitchen and dining room to enhance the fabulous existing living spaces. There is also a small business centre with pc and printer for anyone who can't quite leave work behind. The Whiskey Lounge is an elegant stylishly designed room with classic Chesterfield sofas, a lovely place to sit by the wood burning stove, chat and be awed and inspired by the Clew Bay views. Bay View has its own cosy Irish bar with a snug and open fires as well as a pool table.

Catering options are also available, including pizza or lobster evenings, and catering for events.

Luxury bedrooms are inspired by the different seasons on Clare Island. Contemporary soft furnishings and muted tones make for indulgent comfortable rooms with opulent occasional furniture. All are en suite. The ground floor double with en suite is suitable for anyone less mobile.

To make the most of Clare Island's fresh air and panoramic outlook, opt for the terrace seating and barbecue area, complete with blankets to keep the chill off. Opportunities for walking include climbs up to Knockmore and Knocknavean as well as routes that allow visitors to experience the whole island and look out for passing dolphins and whales. Clare Island's sandy beach has safe and shallow waters, ideal for a family day out. Take a day trip to Westport known for its many festivals and cultural events or explore other islands in the vicinity on a sea safari. And revel in the traditional music culture, great Irish food and drinks and getting to know the island's inhabitants.

- **Heating and Open Fires:** Centrally heated. Open fire in the bar, wood stove in the lounge.
- **Bedrooms:** Sleeps 22 in 7 bedrooms including kings and bunks, including a family room for 4 and a children's bunk room for 6. 1 ground floor double en suite.
- **Linen:** Quality bed linen and bathroom towels are included.
- **Bathrooms:** All bedrooms have en suite facilities, reception bathrooms, ladies and gents bathrooms in the bar area
- **Children's Facilities:** Travel cot and high chair can be provided. Bunk room for 6 children.
- **Outdoor:** Large terrace with undercover seating, barbecue, blankets and sound system. Putting green with 9 holes.
- **Swimming Pool:** There is no pool, but blue flag sandy beaches 300 metres away / private swimming coves close by
- **Parking:** Guests can bring a car to the island if required, but not necessary. Parking at Roonagh Pier otherwise.
- **Smoking:** No smoking inside. You may smoke on the terrace.

- Prices in euros. Check in from 5pm, check out by 11am. A security deposit of 500 euros is required before arrival. Smoking permitted outside on the terrace only. Cars only allowed on the island for a 7 day stay or longer. Parties to be requested in advance. Cleaning fee charged.
