This group of holiday cottages and glamping options is a real find for a holiday or reunion, set within a 360 acre estate which you can roam freely. Close to the coastal path and fantastic beaches, Beacon Hill Farm is a magnet for 3 generational families and friends getting together for a break away or to celebrate a big birthday or anniversary. It's also a popular destination for keen walkers and cyclists. There are fantastic leisure facilities in the on-site shared spa just a short stroll from the cottages: an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym as well as bookable treatments and sun loungers to relax together. And there's a lake for fishing and wild swimming.
These are characterful single storey cottages, all with comfortable accommodation including fully equipped kitchens, dining spaces and living areas with cosy wood burners and Smart TVs. Stylish bedrooms are a mix of kings, doubles and twins, some en suite. All the cottages have private gardens and outdoor seating for barbecues and evening drinks.
Curlew Cottage, Kestrel Cottage and Merlin Cottage are adjacent cottages sleeping a total of 14, ideal for a group with scope to seat 10 for dinner in one of the large reception rooms, and with wide doorways and ramped access (and parking just outside) making this suitable for wheelchair users.
And some of your group may like to stay in the luxury treehouse, a contemporary bolthole for 2 with large mirror glass windows (electric curtains) providing expansive views, or 1 of 3 shepherds' huts, set in a glorious south facing wild flower meadow with terraces. These are all spacious, with a kitchenette, lounge with wood burner, super king bedrooms and adjoining shower room.
Lots of castles to explore, stately homes, golf courses and fishing , or spend a day at the beach at Druridge bay. Coquet Island is fantastic for wild life enthusiasts, accessed by boat from the harbour at Amble, or take a trip to Lindisfarne.
