Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. The Beech Tree, Coniston, Cumbria, Lake District, sleeps 2 - 18 in 10 bedrooms.

Important : For availability please go to my web site.

The Beech Tree is a very welcoming traditional house located in the village of Coniston and within the Lake District National Park. It sleeps 10 to 16- people  comfortably (giving plenty of room in communal areas) in 10 bedrooms. ( thus allowing for a few rooms to be used as singles.). More than 16 people only on request.

You enter the house through a large, bright, attractively tiled entrance hall lit up by a 2 metre high window overlooking a very special, totally natural rock garden and large lawn. To the right and left of the hall are two lounges. Following the corridor around to the left there is a large dining room and to the right through a new kitchen a very large utility area: extra sitting, pool room and washing and drying area.
5 of the 10 bedrooms are en suite, a further 2 with their own showers and sink. There are 5 extra toilet and washing facilities.

From the house there are views of all the local mountain scapes and hills. The house is situated in the beautiful village of Coniston, with all its facilities, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. From here you can climb the Old Man, walk along the Cumbrian way, visit John Ruskin's house or museum, take a steam boat journey on the lake or just chill out in one of the five very attractive local pubs.

Coniston stands close to Coniston lake, which has been preserved and protected by the National Trust which owns large tracts of land in the area and is largely unspoilt by modern developments. Coniston also lies at the foot of an imposing horseshoe ridge formed by the mountains of Wetherlam, Swirl How and the Old Man. This forms an entrance gate to a huge area of Lake District Fells, with Scafell Pike (the highest mountain in England) and the famous Langdale Pikes forming the next ridge. As a centre for walking or mountain biking it can't be beaten. Five different mountain bike routes start in Coniston together with uncountable walks.

The Beech Tree is a fantastic base for groups of nature lovers and sports enthusiasts that can really appreciate the house and the area.
