Each of the eight double/twin bedrooms and two singles are individually decorated and furnished. Every bedroom has its own private bathroom most of which have been renovated to offer all modern facilities of walk-in power shower and large bath. Three of the bedrooms have bathrooms across the corridor.
The delightful formal gardens comprise clipped beech, yew and box hedges which form the perfect setting for the statuary and fountain, originally from the walled garden at Lambton castle. An Italian Garden bordered by brick walls with roses, yew and box has a central mosaic brick path with side paths in oyster shell. The beech arch, and a central feature of a stone church window laid flat, are special features created by Lord Lambton.
Just 10 minutes away from the Durham Cathedral World Heritage Site, Biddick is also close to many other local attractions including Alnwick Castle, the setting for parts of the Harry Potter films, and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art which hosted the Turner Prize. There are several important houses and gardens in the area, as well as a great selection of golf courses, and beautiful walking and cycling routes.
£2,500 per night plus VAT for up to eight persons. Then £200 per person per night plus VAT for each person over the eight.
