## About The Property

In the Petherick family for five generations, Porthpean House has a relaxed old fashioned charm and a laid back atmosphere. Set amidst acres of tranquil gardens, just above the beach, it was the perfect location for the latest Richard Curtis romantic comedy film 'About Time'.

Porthpean House sleeps 21 with ease and the vast array of rooms for entertaining makes large parties effortless. The elegant drawing room with its grand piano and the formal dining room are perfect for families and friends holidaying together whilst the rest of the house invites relaxed lounging and informal gatherings.

The large games room, with its 50 inch screen TV, internet hub, has French windows out to the front garden above the beach. The Snug, overlooking the garden, is the perfect place to get cosy and watch TV, chat or read, with intimate atmosphere.

This big beautiful beach house has a rambling, magical quality that encourages children to run around playing hide and seek along the many passages and staircases, and recalls a time when life was lived at a slow, restful pace... the spaciousness of the house along with the spectacular setting, just above the beach, make this a really dreamy holiday home for everyone who comes.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Two well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional £30 each.
- **Accessibility:** Disabled access on the ground floor only, but there is a step up to the ground floor shower room.
- **WiFi:** WiFi available.
- **Kitchen:** The two kitchens are a cosy hub at the centre of the house and fully equipped with dishwasher, two fridge freezers, microwave, washing machine/dryer.
- **Dining Room:** The elegant dining room has a vast extendable dining table that can seat up to 21 guests and is surrounded by the Petherick family's library.
- **Sitting Room:** There are three choices for guests: the charming drawing room with grand piano, the spacious games room with large TV, and the Snug.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** The games room has a 50 inch TV screen, the Snug sitting room has another TV and music speakers.

- **Heating and Open Fires:** Full central heating and a wood fire in the drawing room with some logs supplied.
- **Bedrooms:** There are twelve bedrooms: four doubles with sea views, one en suite; five twin bedrooms, one en suite; and three single rooms, one with a sea view.
- **Linen:** Egyptian cotton linen and towels are provided and allergy free duvets, pillows and bedding. Please bring bedding for the cot and beach towels.
- **Bathrooms:** Eight bathrooms are scattered about the house including two en suites, one with Billy's Room and one with Charlotte's Room.
- **Children's Facilities:** Perfect beach holiday for children with table tennis, badminton, croquet, large lawn, garden and the beach. Cots and high chair.
- **Outdoor:** Outdoor garden furniture, games, gas barbecue.
- **Swimming Pool:** There is no swimming pool - the beach is at the end of the garden!
- **Parking:** Ample parking for at least ten cars.
- **Smoking:** No smoking or vaping please.
