This stunning large country cottage boasts a beautiful open plan kitchen/sitting room with hand built kitchen, large range cooker & breakfast bar. The sitting room has a seating area & table with views across the front garden. There is a separate large lounge with 2 sofas & a further separate dining room with door out onto the garden & can seat up to 20 people making it ideal for special occasions. The cottage also offers a further pantry with dishwasher, large fridge and separate freezer.
Birchwood Cottage has 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 18 with a mix of single, double & bunk beds and 4 bathrooms 2 of which are En-suite.
The adjacent heated log cabin can sleep a further 4 people and has a small kitchen and shower room with French doors overlooking a private deck and patio. The cabin can be hired for an additional charge to the main accommodation.
Birchwood Cottage is set in 3 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens with spectacular views across the River Severn. The front cottage garden has ample outside seating, BBQ and patio area which opens out onto a beautiful meadow with fire pit.
Hot tubs can be hired at an additional charge from Hot Tub Rocks in Lydney.
Birchwood Cottage is nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Forest Dean on the edge of woodlands offering lovely walks just outside the cottage, yet only 10 minutes from Chepstow, and 35 minutes from Bristol. The cottage is just a mile from the local village of Aylburton which hosts 2 great country pubs and village church.
Lydney is just a 5 minute drive away with a Tesco and train station. The lovely historic town of Monmouth is also only a 20 minute drive. The Forest of Dean offers a host of activities right on your doorstep from Go Ape, the Sculpture Trail at Beechenhurst, a cycle centre, canoeing and breathtaking walks along the River Wye.
A perfect retreat for any special occasion or holiday both in the summer & winter periods, ideal for family holidays, friends weekends or even a corporate event. It is close enough to walk to the village pub or sample some the lovely restaurants in Chepstow.
