There are plenty of comfy leather sofas for chilling out at the end of a busy day; watch some TV or crack open the board games. The area is rich in hiking and cycling opportunities with local trails to Bridestones Moor or Stoodley Pike. A gentle stroll along the canal across the road takes you to the Summit Pub, which comes highly recommended. A decent walk next to the canal takes you to Hebden Bridge, a pretty and quirky little market town with interesting historic streets and a museum. Just outside of Hebden Bridge is Hardstone Crags, a great place to see local wildlife. Or pop into Gibson Mill, a National Trust property with exhibitions and a nice cafe.
