Large business venue sleeping 34 with team building group activity packages in the North Pennines

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Blackton Grange, Barnard Castle, County Durham, sleeps 10-34 in 10 bedrooms.

Set deep inside the picturesque Teessdale Valley, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with direct access onto the Pennine Way, Blackton Grange is the ideal base for a wilderness retreat. The traditional stone farmhouse and surrounding buildings can provide senior management through to newly recruited personnel, the opportunity to escape from the office and enjoy some time together.

An 11-acre farm may not be the obvious choice of venue for a meeting but Blackton Grange provides the ideal setting. The breakout rooms are well equipped for presentations or you may chose to meet in the lounge for a coffee and an informal discussion. The farmhouse has WiFi and mobile phone reception so you are never too far away from the office, unless of course you choose to turn them off.

Team development can be facilitated by yourself or through a partner company, First Ascent. Activities range from classroom based psychological assessments, developing an understanding of your role within the team, through to command tasks designed to test the brain or activities which introduce an element of adventure.

After a day deep in discussion during meetings or canoeing on the nearby reservoir, climbing on the prominent Goldsborough Crag, walking along the Pennine way, or mountain biking through the various Dales, the huge sitting room with its roaring fire is the perfect place to relax. The house boasts 10 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping a total of 34 people. The kitchen is well equipped, designed to make life as easy as possible for the delegated chef, or simply relax and let us prepare your meals for you. There are board games, large TV with Sky and a piano available too.

The surrounding area plays host to the largest waterfall in England as well as the Tan Hill inn, the highest pub in Great Britain. The Teesdale website provides an extensive list of ideas for local excursions or simply switch off and do nothing for once.
