## About The Property

Bore Place is within easy reach of London and yet is situated in rolling, idyllic Kent countryside. Surrounded by 500-acres of organically farmed private grounds, it is the perfect spot to get away from it all and get close to nature and the outdoors.

Our accommodation is ideal for groups of young people. In particular, the Old Stables (sleeps 28) and adjacent Small Barn (sleeps 4) are comfortable, cost-effective options. Both buildings have their own kitchens and living areas as well as ample bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets.

The properties can be rented on a self-catering basis or we can arrange for our chef to provide organic home-cooked food for your stay, much of which would be harvested from our market garden.

We can also arrange activities for your group including cooking activities, night-time walks and bushcraft.

Bore Place is home to an organic farm and is owned by the Commonwork Trust, a charity that aims to explore how to live and work sustainably, through education and programmes to support young people. We are an environmentally-friendly site, using green energy for heating and water, including woodchip harvested from the estate woodlands.

We use ethical, green products in the house and are committed to minimising waste.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Dogs are welcome in some of the properties - please enquire when you book.
- **Accessibility:** There is a fully accessible toilet and shower on the ground floor of the Old Stable and Mulberry Cottage.
- **WiFi:** There is free WiFi on site.
- **Kitchen:** Include crockery, cutlery, full range of appliances as well as eco-friendly cleaning products. Bore Place House also features a traditional Aga.
- **Dining Room:** There is plenty of seating in the properties for all group sizes.
- **Sitting Room:** Four of our properties feature log burners, or open fires, and all have comfortable cosy spaces for reading, relaxing or group entertainment.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** All our properties have smart TVs.
- **Games Room:** There is no games room. However we welcome you to use our gardens and open space as you wish. We also have a sustainable wooden play-area to use.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** The House features an open fire in the sitting room. Other properties except Mulberry Cottage include cast iron log burners.
- **Bedrooms:** 13 bedrooms in Bore Place House, 11 in The Old Stable, 2 in The Small Barn, Mulberry and Cedar Cottages. Mix of double, singles, triples and quads.
- **Linen:** Linen and towels are provided.
- **Bathrooms:** The house has 5 bathrooms and 4 extra toilets. Old Stable has 3 shower rooms, 1 bathroom and 3 further toilets. The cottages all have 2 bathrooms.
- **Children's Facilities:** The main house has private gardens with a large lawn perfect for garden games. Elsewhere there is a sustainable wooden play-area.
- **Outdoor:** The main house benefits from stunning gardens which include a large ornamental feature pond, extensive walking route maps are provided.
- **Parking:** We have ample car parking for 15+ cars. This is in an off-street car park.
- **Smoking:** Our venue promotes well-being and smoking is not permitted inside any of our properties. There are designated areas for smoking if necessary.
