High on a hill with astounding views, and on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, Borgo Bastia Creti is a small collection of old cottages and courtyard houses recently renovated to create fantastic family holiday accommodation for multi generational family groups, friends, corporate groups and small wedding parties. The outside spaces are magical with exquisite gardens, olive groves and plenty of space for children to enjoy being outdoors, topped off with a hillside backdrop and blue skies. The pool and terrace is a favourite and the tennis court and table tennis can provide hours of entertainment for the whole group. There's a sauna for 2 for a moment of pure relaxation. The Old Chapel has been transformed into an area where the group can gather for dinner, although please note self catering is not available in this facility. This beautiful space can be used for dancing at an intimate wedding or celebration, or for Pilates or Yoga, or as a conference facility for business groups. Or just relax around the log fire, for a quiet moment with a book. The largest cottage is Le Ginestre, perfect for an extended family or couples, while the smaller houses work well for a family or couple, and grandparents in a mixed group. All are stylish with picture windows, gardens, oak beam ceilings, hand-made terracotta floors, antique tiling and furnishings and beautiful kilim carpets. Open French doors onto a private garden with seating for morning coffee or a glass of local wine at dusk. Bedrooms are luxurious yet traditional, with rooms configured as doubles or twins. All have en suite baths or showers. If you can tear yourselves away from this charming hill monastery, visit Spedalicchio Umbertide to pick up supplies or head to Perugia for fabulous chocolate products, historical attractions and museums.
