Before becoming a holiday cottage Boston House was a four star rated guest house. An accolade which is not easily acquired.
The property sleeps 14 comfortably in 7 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a TV, alarm clock and white cotton bedding. Five of the rooms have en-suite shower rooms. The other two rooms have a separate bathrooms, which means every bedroom has private facilities. For the romantics in your party there is a for poster and one half-tester bed.
The kitchen has solid oak units, Lakeland slate worktops, a 7 ring burner - twin fan oven range cooker and decorated in tartan it is really quite special. We also added a 46 bottle wine cooler and a central island unit with 8 stools - you'll always find a party in this kitchen! Complete with Marshall Bluetooth speaker this is a great space to gather.
The lounge has huge L-shaped leather Chesterfield sofas a Smart TV, DVD player all set around a living flame gas fire to warm your toes. The fire-place designed by Pugin is believed to be a small scale replica of the one he designed for Westminster Palace. Or head to the 14 seat cinema for an evening with a great film and popcorn.
The dining room has a huge table perfect for entertaining a large group a special place for a special dinner!
The rear courtyard is walled all round and looks out to Orrest Head where Alfred Wainwright took his first view of the Lake District - a view that changed his life for ever! The garden has a huge teak table and chairs perfect for dining alfresco and its surrounding walls mean that it is usually protected from the wind. There is also a 7 seat hoy tub on a raised patio area.
As you’d imagine the property has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished.
