Denend Farmhouse is the larger unit, decked with vintage colour style in glorious open plan living with every modern convenience to maximise warmth and comfort. Cook in the Everhot eco electric range cooker, sit down at the dining table for 8 and while away long evenings over delicious food and wine. On lovely evenings, spill out onto the deck and fire up the wood fired pizza oven or barbecue, and then sit back and relax taking in the gorgeous rural landscape. Afterwards soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy stargazing or make plans for the next day.
The bothies reflect their traditional farming history, fun spaces filled with interesting touches and original features to make the stay a truly special one off. Barley Bothy sleeps 4 and its highlights include a roll top slipper bath with stargazing window. The solar powered tin Sheep Shed, a romantic bolthole for couples, has a water trough bath and a glass gable end with views from the mezzanine. The Dairy has a roll top copper bath for complete indulgence. Great attention to detail means wood fired hot tubs, pizza ovens and wood burners at each of the properties.
It may be hard to drag yourself away from this fabulous boutique accommodation but there are plenty of interesting things to do in the area. Take a hill walk up Bennachie, just a 30 minute drive away, or follow the Malt Whisky Trail and Distilleries. Mountain biking at Glenlivet and Tarland is brilliant for outdoor enthusiasts, or head for some skiing at the Lecht Resort, accessible in a little over an hour.
