## About The Property

Victorian Country House converted to a larger holiday house offering accommodation for up to 10, ideal for families or groups in a spectacular setting, in the heart of the Lake District National Park with views out to Helvellyn and The Dodd range of fells. Keswick is a 5 minute drive away. 

Lovely grounds and gardens including ball play paddock, with children's play equipment, football goals, woodlands and patio areas. Extensive walking from the door. Ample parking.

Brackenrigg House is a Victorian estate house. Prestigious and well appointed in contemporary colours of greys/blues/creams, retaining the charm of the original house, but modernised to 21stC standards. Double fronted with an impressive verandah overlooking the surrounding valley and views to Helvellyn. Double aspect lounge, with wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and chairs. Opening via stained glass doors into hand made oak kitchen/dining room with electric range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Dining for 10. Games room with board games, air hockey table, bookcases. Upstairs are 5 very generously sized bedrooms, all our bedrooms are ensuite with showers. The Master suite has a bath and separate shower.

Outide there is a Summer house with sofa style seating for cooler evenings, and also patio with dining and BBQ.

Additional accomodation is available in our converted barn cottages just 50m away on the same rural estate. (Two cottages for 2, one for 4)

Gardens and grounds home to wildlife including red squirrels, deer, badgers, owls, hawks, buzzards, over 40 bird species. We are re-wilding by creating a 5 acre woodland, meadow and lake for wildlife. 

Walking from the door through the beautiful Naddle and St John's in the Vale Valleys, or more adventurous fell walks behind and in front; easy access to all corners of the Lake District National Park from this prime location in its very heart. Grasmere just 10 mins drive, and nearby Keswick offers quality restaurants, bars, shopping, theatre and markets.
