There are plenty of outdoor activities to do on site including climbing/abseiling, low ropes, archery, and zipwire. Close by there is canoeing on the canal, and mountain biking and hiking. Equipment can be rented and activities booked prior to arrival at an extra cost. Braeside is perfect for all sorts of large groups, be it school residential trips, Faith/community gatherings, weddings or family get togethers. We have a flexible accommodation layout which includes twin/single en suite and larger dorm rooms with shared facilities. There is a large well equipped commercial kitchen available during your stay, plus a small kitchenette. Please ask for prices if you require catering. We welcome you to use outside caterers, cook outdoors or make use of our fantastic catering team during your stay (subject to availability). Located within 1 hour of Bristol and Swindon, the site is easily accessible with 30 parking spaces on site. We are a 25 minute drive from Trowbridge railway station, and are directly on a bus route from Swindon and Trowbridge. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** No pets allowed. - **Accessibility:** Disabled toilet facilities are available in the Beeches and the Laurels. The ground floor of the main house is wheelchair accessible. - **WiFi:** Mobile reception is excellent across the site and locally. WiFi is available in communal areas of the main house. - **Kitchen:** Full commercial kitchen equipped with pass through dishwasher, steamer, 2x double gas ovens and hob, hot server, fridges and freezers. - **Dining Room:** The dining room can accommodate 70 people in one sitting and all meals are self-service. - **Sitting Room:** A comfortable lounge for the group to relax and watch a bit of TV, with access to a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and dishwasher. - **TV and Music Facilities:** A TV is located in the lounge. - **Games Room:** There are table tennis facilities in the main garden, table football in the lounge and a cellar that houses a bouldering room for keen climbers. - **Heating and Open Fires:** Braeside House and all of the out buildings have a gas central heating system. - **Bedrooms:** In the house the 12 rooms provide 61 beds. The Beeches has 22 beds in 7 rooms and the Laurels has 14 beds in 4 rooms. Beds are singles or bunk beds. - **Linen:** All beds have pillow, duvet and all linen provided. Towels are not provided. - **Bathrooms:** 4 en-suite rooms and a separate shower and toilet block for each area. - **Children's Facilities:** Grounds lend themselves to areas for young children to play with supervision. On site activities can be pre-booked (high-ropes, climbing & bushcraft) - **Outdoor:** Lots of outdoor play space, lawns, woodlands, football hardcourt. highropes, clip & climb wall & zipline, bouldering wall, campfire & outdoor cooking. - **Swimming Pool:** There is no pool. But the canal is just 2 mins walk. Canoe hire available. - **Parking:** Parking for 30 cars. Minibus parking is available on site.
