These 3 South Hams holiday houses are perfect for family holidays in beautiful South Devon, lovely accommodation for 3 generational groups, friends and also suitable for small wedding parties. Dining together in Buckland House for up to 25.
Locally there are fantastic beaches to explore along with countryside moorland, woodland and rivers. Dartmoor is only 30 minutes away for active walkers and cyclists, and a blue flag beach just 10 minutes away for a family day at the seaside.
The houses are situated around a central courtyard, with communal outside seating by the pond and space for children and dogs to run around. All 3 houses have very well equipped kitchens with modern conveniences including dishwashers and washing machines. Buckland House has the benefit of 2 lounges, both with cosy wood stoves, and also a light-filled conservatory with a wood burner for chillier evenings and space to set up tables for large group dining. The kitchen diner has a table to seat 12 comfortably and Cherry Cottage and Oak Cottage both have inside dining for the number of guests they sleep. Buckland House and Oak Cottage have a games room too, an opportunity for family fun.
There is a handy mix of bedrooms: doubles, kings, twins and bunks to suit all group configurations, and 6 en suites altogether. There's a ground floor studio flat with kitchenette in the main house too, a little retreat for grandparents or those seeking extra privacy. Bathroom facilities are modern and plentiful, along with downstairs cloakrooms.
The sheltered area outside is ideal for shared barbecues. A marquee can be erected for wedding receptions and celebrations for 80 guests.
The harbour town of Dartmouth is great for a wander or for lunch; relax over a coffee or glass of wine and watch the boats come and go. Kingsbridge is only a short drive away, a market town with independent shops and art galleries. Blackpool Sands is an award winning beach, and there are several others to choose from, as well as a spectacular section of the Coastal Path to walk.
