Burmieston is an eco and climate friendly self-catering holiday property and retreat space set within a smallholding in rural Perthshire. We host farm stays in our renovated Steading, with higher numbers possible for day events. Located on the southern edge of the Highlands of Scotland, this quiet place, with huge views, provides a rare opportunity for a digital detox enabling guests to reconnect with each other and the environment around them, allowing a feeling of space for mind and body. It is a great choice for multi generational groups and wellness or yoga retreats, with the accommodation wrapped around a sensory courtyard.

The Bull Box is a lovely contemporary sitting room with wood panelled walls, mood lighting, stove and comfy sofas - the perfect place to curl up. The old cart shed is now a wonderful fully equipped kitchen connected to the courtyard - a really sociable space to cook and eat together. Outside there's covered seating by the kitchen, lit up for evening drinks, and benches next to the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The games room in the barn is a magnet for fun and friendly competition with table tennis, darts and games, especially loved by the youngsters. Lastly we have a large circular room, created with yoga and wellness retreats in mind. 

The 5 luxury bedrooms can be set up as superkings or twins. The accommodation enjoys some original farm building features but with cool modern design to make them as comfortable as possible. The 2 family rooms sleep 4 with bunk beds for the children. All are en suite. The Woodstore is 1 of 4 ground floor bedrooms and is fully accessible for anyone less mobile.

Burmieston has a great choice of walks and cycling routes from the door but, if you fancy a full day out, maybe head to Scone Palace or Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument for some local history. Wee Adventures is a good activity day for kids, based in Aberfeldy. As is Active Kids Adventure playground nearby in Stanley. There is much to explore in and around Dunkeld too.

- **Dog Friendly:** Pets are allowed. Max 2 dogs per stay. £15 per dog per stay.
- **Accessibility:** The Wood Store bedroom and bathroom is fully accessible, as is the kitchen and access to the barn, courtyard and sitting room.
- **WiFi:** No WiFi - a chance for a digital detox.
- **Kitchen:** Well equipped kitchen includes multiples of all modern appliances. Barbecue made out of a truck wheel rim located in the courtyard.
- **Dining Room:** Enough table space and seating for 12 inside dining. High chair also provided. Covered area for al fresco meals in the courtyard.
- **Sitting Room:** Beautiful "Bull Box" sitting room with lovely seating, books, games and a wood burning stove.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** No TV at Burmieston. Bluetooth speakers in the Kitchen, Lounge and Barn. There is a projector with DVD player and choice of films.
- **Games Room:** Games barn with table tennis, darts and children's toys.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Central heating throughout, with wood burning stove in Bull Box lounge. Underfloor heating in ground floor rooms, thermostatically controlled.
- **Bedrooms:** 2 family rooms with kings and bunk beds. 2 kings and a single. All en suite. All kings able to be made twin. 4 of 5 rooms on the ground floor.
- **Linen:** Quality bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Comfy mattresses made from natural latex and wool. Duvets and pillows made from Welsh wool.
- **Bathrooms:** All bedrooms are en suite with showers. The Loft bathroom has a shower plus a wooden freestanding bath.
- **Children's Facilities:** A travel cot and high chair are available. Children's books, games and toys plus baby monitor available. Trampoline and swing here too.
- **Outdoor:** Pretty courtyard with covered seating for eating outside. Barbecue. Benches around the fire pit. Trampoline and swing. Access to games barn.
- **Parking:** Off road parking. EV charger (fee charged).
- **Smoking:** No smoking please.

## Booking Information

- Terms & conditions provided regarding booking, invoicing and cancellation. 3-night min stay. Retreat space optional extra. BACS payments only. Check in 4pm, check out 11am, flexible on request. Max 2 dogs allowed, £15 per dog per stay. No smoking. Owners ask that noise kept to a minimum after 11pm. Please recycle all waste.
