Burmieston is an eco and climate friendly self-catering holiday property and retreat space set within a smallholding in rural Perthshire. We host farm stays in our renovated Steading, with higher numbers possible for day events. Located on the southern edge of the Highlands of Scotland, this quiet place, with huge views, provides a rare opportunity for a digital detox enabling guests to reconnect with each other and the environment around them, allowing a feeling of space for mind and body. It is a great choice for multi generational groups and wellness or yoga retreats, with the accommodation wrapped around a sensory courtyard.

The Bull Box is a lovely contemporary sitting room with wood panelled walls, mood lighting, stove and comfy sofas - the perfect place to curl up. The old cart shed is now a wonderful fully equipped kitchen connected to the courtyard - a really sociable space to cook and eat together. Outside there's covered seating by the kitchen, lit up for evening drinks, and benches next to the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The games room in the barn is a magnet for fun and friendly competition with table tennis, darts and games, especially loved by the youngsters. Lastly we have a large circular room, created with yoga and wellness retreats in mind. 

The 5 luxury bedrooms can be set up as superkings or twins. The accommodation enjoys some original farm building features but with cool modern design to make them as comfortable as possible. The 2 family rooms sleep 4 with bunk beds for the children. All are en suite. The Woodstore is 1 of 4 ground floor bedrooms and is fully accessible for anyone less mobile.

Burmieston has a great choice of walks and cycling routes from the door but, if you fancy a full day out, maybe head to Scone Palace or Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument for some local history. Wee Adventures is a good activity day for kids, based in Aberfeldy. As is Active Kids Adventure playground nearby in Stanley. There is much to explore in and around Dunkeld too.
