This spacious, manor house provides an ideal retreat for corporate events and business meetings. The formal dining room is a great space for meetings, we can supply flip charts, paper, pens and easel and a projector screen to support your meeting. The two lounges and farmhouse kitchen with a further dining table are ideal for break out spaces or more informal meetings.
There are 7 beautifully decorated bedrooms brimming with character and rustic features which can accommodate up to 14 guests in shared bedrooms or 7 in sole occupancy. Four of the bedrooms are en suite while the others share a large luxurious family bathroom. A traditional farmhouse kitchen and pantry is fully equipped everything you would need to self-cater or alternatively there is a lovely traditional village pub 1 mile walk away.
Burrs Farm is the ideal meeting venue for business groups to enjoy the great outdoors, situated in an impressive rural location nestled amongst the rolling hills and dales, yet only 6 miles from the town of Buxton. There is no shortage of outdoor space with exclusive use of a 3 acre foot golf course as well as a large lawned garden with outdoor seating, barbecue, a fire pit and hot tub. An ideal way to unwind and treat your team after a long day of meetings. We have a range of local contacts which can help with team building activities on and off site, there are plenty of outdoor pursuits in the local area including for the more adventurous abseiling off a nearby viaduct!

Oil-fuelled Aga, electric oven and hob, microwave, tall fridge-freezer, dishwasher. Washer, dryer, ironing board, chest freezer in pantry and utility.

Dining Room

The main dining table seats 16 with chairs and long benches (20 with kitchen table adjoining). There is a log burning stove in the stone fireplace.

Sitting Room

The main sitting room, with TV and log burner, comfortably seats 8 guests in deep-seat sofas. Sitting room/games room two seats 5.

TV and Music Facilities

TVs in both sitting rooms, one DVD player, one iPod docking station.

Games Room

Not separate, however the second living room has a pool table and table football and doubles as a den or playroom rather than second sitting room.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating and two log-burning stoves, one in the sitting main room, one in the dining room.

Bedrooms

4 on first-floor and 3 on second-floor. 4 en suite. Sofa bed in second sitting room. All bedrooms have flexibility of being twin or king-sized double.

Linen

One bath-towel and one hand-towel per guest provided along with all bed linen.

Bathrooms

One large, first-floor family bathroom shared by three bedrooms. Four bedrooms have private en suite shower room facilities.

Children's Facilities

Families welcome. 2 travel cots and 3 high chairs available on request. Playhouse and rope swing in garden. Outdoor games as below.

Outdoor

BBQ (bring own coal), fire pit (honesty box for wood), outdoor furniture, games (football, swing ball, croquet). Herb garden, Footgolf and Hot Tub.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool but a lovely hot tub with stunning views .

These prices are a guideline and we really encourage you to email with your group size and the type of event you are planning to enable us to send an up to date price. Check in is 4pm and check out is 9.30 but we will try to accommodate any requests. Call for Christmas and New Year rates.

Location

Rural Derbyshire in the heart of the limestone ‘White Peak’ of Peak District National Park. Chelmorton village 15 min walk. Start of the Monsal Trail 2.2 miles. Alton Towers 25 min drive.

Buxton is a 10-15 minute drive. The historic Spa town has a plethora of entertainment for all ages; theatre/Opera House, beautiful gardens with playgrounds for children, restaurants, shops and cafes.
Tesco Express and Morrisons within easy reach on outskirts of Buxton (10-15 mins by car). Bakewell (15-20 min drive) has wonderful independent food shops, a Co-op and Chatsworth Farm Shop close by.
The Church Inn in Chelmorton village serves lunch, evening meals and cask-conditioned ales. The award-winning Royal Oak is a five minute drive and a must for food and ale lovers.
Manchester Airport is less than 30 miles away and around an hour by car, depending on traffic. East Midlands Airport is approximately 50 miles and an hour and twenty minutes drive from Burrs Farm.
Buxton railway station is 5.7 miles from Chelmorton and Burrs Farm. This is a 10-15 minute car journey or approximately 20 minutes by bus.
The 177 bus from Buxton to Bakewell stops outside the Post Office in Chelmorton. The service does not run on Sundays.
